Japhet Uutoni (also spelled Jafet Uutoni; born 29 June 1979) is a Namibian professional boxer in the light flyweight division. He was the 2005 Namibian sportsperson of the year in the Namibian newspaper and won a gold medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games by defeating England's Darren Langley on points (37-24). He also won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Uutoni competes at the 48 kg weightclass and qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics by beating Manyo Plange. He was a member of the team that competed for Africa at the 2005 Boxing World Cup in Moscow, Russia.

Redouane Bouchtouk is a boxer from Morocco who participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics for his native North African country. At these games he was stopped in the first round of the Light Flyweight (48 kg) division by Colombia's Carlos José Tamara. He then qualified for the Athens Games by winning the silver medal at the 1st AIBA African 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Casablanca, Morocco. In the final of the event he lost to Ugandan fighter Jolly Katongole.

In 2005, the Indian government gave him the Arjuna Award for his achievements in international boxing. In March 2017, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, appointed Akhil Kumar along with Mary Kom as national observers for boxing.

Helalia Lukeiko Johannes, also known as Hilaria Johannes, is a Namibian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. She holds the Namibian records in the 10 km, 20 km, half marathon and marathon events.
Namibia competed in the 2010 Commonwealth Games held in Delhi, India, from 3 to 14 October 2010. Namibia sent 28 athletes and 11 officials to the Games, which was fewer than it had in 2006. Namibian athletes competed in athletics, archery, boxing, cycling, gymnastics, bowls, shooting, and paralympics. It however won more medals then in 2006.
Sakaria 'Sackey' Shivute is a Namibian boxer. Shivute competed for Namibia at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Fighting as a middleweight, Shivute lost to Australian Justann Crawford in the first round. He also represented Namibia at the 1994 Commonwealth Games and at the 1995 All-Africa Games, where he won a silver medal.

Namibia competed in the 2007 All-Africa Games held at the Stade du 5 Juillet in the city of Algiers, Algeria. It was the fifth time that the country had sent a team to the Games since gaining independence and they left with three medals, one of the lowest counts to date. Two medals were won by Agnes Samaria in athletics. Herunga Jipekapora also broke the national record in 400 metres during the heats.
