Javon Pyree Solomon (born January 17, 2001) is an American football defensive end for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Troy Trojans and was selected by the Bills in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL draft.

High school career

Solomon attended Amos P. Godby High School in Tallahassee, Florida. As a senior, he had 73 tackles and 10 sacks. He committed to Troy University to play college football. [1]

College career

After playing in three games and redshirting his first year at Troy in 2019, Solomon had 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 2020. He had 50 tackles, 11 sacks and one interception in 2021 and 44 tackles and 4.5 sacks in 2022. [2] [3] Solomon switched from outside linebacker to defensive end in 2023 and was named an All-American. [4] [5] He was selected to play in the 2024 Senior Bowl. [6]
