Landon Jackson (born January 2, 2003) is an American football defensive end for the Arkansas Razorbacks. He previously played for the LSU Tigers.
Jackson was born on January 2, 2003. He attended Pleasant Grove High School in Texarkana, Texas. As a junior, he had 17 sacks and was named the Texas Sports Writers Association 4A Defensive Player of the Year. Overall in his career he had 45 sacks. [1] Jackson committed to Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football. [2]
Jackson played in five games as a true freshman at LSU in 2021. After one year at LSU, he transferred to the University of Arkansas. [3] [4] In his first year at Arkansas in 2022, he played in all 13 games with seven starts and had 23 tackles and three sacks. [5] [6] Jackson returned to Arkansas his junior year in 2023. [6] He started all 12 games and finished the season with 44 tackles, 13.5 tackles for lost yardage, and 6.5 sacks. Jackson was named to the Coaches 1st Team 2023 All-SEC football team, and was placed on the 2nd Team All-SEC squad by the AP. He elected to return to Arkansas for his senior season in 2024. He helped Arkansas to a 6-6 record and reach the 2024 Liberty Bowl, but Jackson decided to forego his participation in the bowl game in order to prepare for the upcoming NFL Draft. He was named 2nd team All-SEC for the 2024 season. Jackson played in the 2025 Senior Bowl, where he finished the game with 1.5 tackles and a strip-sack.
Jackson has spot baldness. [7] His younger brother Lance verbally committed to the Texas Longhorns in 2024. [8]

Reginald Wayne Herring is an American football coach and former player and most recently the linebackers coach for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). A former linebacker at Florida State University, he began his coaching career in 1981. He has now coached for 36 years across college and the NFL. Herring arrived in Denver to coach linebackers in 2015 after previous stops in the league with Chicago (2014), Houston and Dallas (2008–10). Herring has coached nine linebackers who have made Pro Bowl appearances during their careers, including defensive end Mario Williams (4), outside linebackers DeMarcus Ware, (9)Connor Barwin (1), and inside linebackers Zach Thomas (7), Keith Brooking (5), Lance Briggs (7), Brian Cushing (1), Sean Lee (2) and DeMeco Ryans (2). Herring also served as the interim head football coach for the University of Arkansas in the 2008 Cotton Bowl Classic.

The team played five home games at Razorback Stadium and two home games at War Memorial Stadium. Coach Bobby Petrino was in his third year with the Razorbacks. They were members of the Western Division of the Southeastern Conference. The Razorbacks finished the season 10–2, 6–2 in SEC play and earned a berth in the Sugar Bowl, their first appearance in a BCS bowl since the inception of the BCS in 1998, where they were defeated by Ohio State by a 31–26 score.
