It is the only song from the deluxe version of the album to be released as a single. It is also the first single released by Blunt to feature John Garrison, who replaced Malcolm Moore at the end of 2007, as one of the band members to perform on the track. The single was released on 7 November 2008, with a physical release appearing three days later. The song peaked at No. 121 on the UK Singles Chart, making it Blunt's lowest charting single to date.

The single was released simultaneously digitally and physically.

The single was released as a digital download single in the United Kingdom on 4 April 2011. The single failed to chart on the UK Singles Chart, similar to the album's previous single, So Far Gone. The song was released in Australia as the album's second single and has charted on the ARIA Charts at number 53. The single features similar artwork to that used for So Far Gone, however, used a red-based background instead of a black-based background. Both releases have an image of the child from the Some Kind of Trouble artwork on the disc.
Les Sessions Lost Souls is a live album and DVD released by James Blunt in 2008 as a follow-up to his 2007 album, All the Lost Souls. The set contains a live album containing recordings from Blunt live in Belgium, Sydney and England, as well as a DVD featuring recorded performances at the Max Sessions in Sydney, Paris and Ibiza, music videos for "1973", "Same Mistake", "Carry You Home" and "I Really Want You", and the previously unreleased documentary, "Return To Kosovo". The DVD and four songs were included as part of a deluxe package of All the Lost Souls that was available in the United Kingdom, thus meaning that this release was not issued there. The digital version of the album features the additional EP James Blunt - Live in London.

The song was written by Ferguson and Jonny Lattimer, who produced the track with Tim Baxter as well. The song was released on 14 October 2012 in the United Kingdom, the day before the release of the deluxe edition of Heaven. The single already features as a bonus track on the U.S. version of Heaven. "Backtrack" contains elements of soul, jazz and pop. The single entered the UK Singles Chart at number 15, making it Ferguson's second top twenty hit.
"Same Girl" is a song recorded by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez for her eighth studio album, A.K.A. (2014). The song was written by Lopez and Chris Brown in collaboration with the song's producers Antwan "Amadeus" Thompson, Charles "Chizzy" Stephens, and Ryan "Ryghtous" Tedder, while Cory Rooney handled vocal production of the song. A solo version of "Same Girl" was released on February 4, 2014, as the second promotional single from A.K.A.. An accompanying music video for the solo version of the song was directed by Steve Gomillion and Dennis Leupold in the Castle Hill neighborhood of The Bronx, Lopez's hometown. This video embodies Lopez in the Bronx with its residents, among them are children, rappers, prostitutes, dancers who are living in South Bronx. "Same Girl" was remixed to feature fellow Bronx artist and rapper French Montana for its inclusion on the album. In 2022 a new orchestral version of the song was released in support of Lopez's Netflix documentary Halftime.
