Siltbreeze is an American independent record label based in Philadelphia. It is known for its eclectic roster of artists and releases of experimental, noise, folk, and rock-based music. Founded in 1989 by Ohio native Tom Lax, the label evolved out of a zine of the same name which he published from 1987 until 1992. The first label release was a Halo of Flies EP, and soon after, Lax produced a steady stream of record releases by The Dead C, The Gibson Bros., Sebadoh, The Strapping Fieldhands, Harry Pussy, Jim Shepard, and Mike Rep among others throughout the early and mid 1990s.
Johnny Vomit & The Dry Heaves was an American high school garage band, that formed in mid-1980s in Corinth, Mississippi, United States, that featured future leaders of the Oblivians and Squirrel Nut Zippers, Jack Oblivian and Jim Mathus. Under the names Johnny Goopa and Bart Barf, they supported Johnny Vomit on two seven-inch records issued on Eric Oblivian's Goner Records.

Reigning Sound was an American rock and roll band originally based in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. As of 2019, along with fronting Reigning Sound, Cartwright also reformed his past band Greg Oblivian and the Tip Tops. In 2020, he also reformed with the original "Memphis lineup" of Reigning Sound is once again playing shows with the outfit's first incarnation. In a June 8, 2022, message on the group's Facebook page, Cartwright formally announced the end of Reigning Sound.

From 2001 to 2022 he fronted Reigning Sound which was signed to Merge Records. After moving away from Memphis in the mid-2000s, he has since lived with his family in Asheville, North Carolina.

Best of the Worst: 93-97 is a two LP/CD compilation album by Memphis garage-rock band, the Oblivians. It was released on September 28, 1999 by Sympathy for the Record Industry. The album features career-spanning and previously unreleased Oblivians rarities, B-sides, and live cuts. The liner notes, chronicling the band's roots, formation, and various anecdotes, were written by '68 Comeback founder Jeffrey Evans.
'68 Comeback is an American garage rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1992 by singer, songwriter, and musicologist Jeffrey Evans. Melissa's Garage Revisited is an album released by Memphis garage-rock band the Oblivians. The album features Austin-based harmonicist Walter Daniels and Memphis-based vocalist Jeffrey Evans. The album was originally released as an EP in 1995 by Texas record label, Undone. When released as an EP, the album was titled Walter Daniels Plays with Monsieur Jeffrey Evans & The Oblivians at Melissa's Garage. For the rerelease, the title was shortened and four new tracks from a '68 Comeback 7" were appended.
Don Howland is an American underground musician best known for his work in the punk-blues duo the Bassholes beginning in 1992. Prior to the Bassholes, Howland played guitar and sang with the Gibson Brothers, a Columbus, Ohio-based demented roots rock band that included Monsieur Jeffrey Evans, Dan Dow, Ellen Hoover, and later Jon Spencer and Rich Lillash. Lillash, Lamont "Bim" Thomas and James Owen have all drummed with the Bassholes in recent years. Howland also was a member of Wooden Tit and a Burning Bus. Howland participated in the Ego Summit project in 1997, which brought together longtime Columbus underground performers including Jim Shepard and Mike (Amrep) Rep, Tommy Jay (Jones) and Ron House. He has recorded for many independent labels including Matador, In the Red, Sympathy for the Record Industry, Hate Records (IT), Dead Canary, Revenant, Siltbreeze, Columbus Discount Records, and 12XU. He hosts a 20th-century classical music radio show on WSFM-LP, a community station.
South Indies is a rights and publishing label established in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1984 as a vinyl records label and small book publisher. It released vinyl, books, cassettes and video-cassettes before moving into the leasing of material to distributing labels, and the protection of existing copyright.
