No Angels are an all-female pop group from Germany, formed in 2000. Originally a quintet, consisting of band members Nadja Benaissa, Lucy Diakovska, Sandy Mölling, Vanessa Petruo, and Jessica Wahls, they originated on the debut season of the German adaptation of the talent series Popstars and were one of the first television-cast acts to achieve sustainable success throughout Central Europe in the early 2000s. Following a major success with record-breaking single "Daylight in Your Eyes" and debut album Elle'ments in 2001, a series of hit records established their position as one of the most successful female band vocalists to emerge in the early decade. With four number-one hits, four number-one albums and record sales of more than 5.0 million, they became one of the most successful acts in German music history, winning three ECHOs, a World Music Award, a NRJ Music Award, two Comets, a Bambi and a Goldene Kamera.

Rosenstolz was a German pop duo from Berlin that was active between 1991 and 2012 and had chart hits in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Although the duo split up to pursue separate music careers, they left open the possibility of a future reunion.

Deichkind is a German electropunk band formed in Hamburg in 1997. Deichkind started with hip hop, later added elements of electronic dance music to its style. The band themselves call their music TechRap. As a combination of techno and rap music. The songs are often satirical and criticize consumerism and the performance-oriented society.
Lucilectric was a German pop/rock duo founded in 1993 by Luci van Org and producer Ralf Goldkind. They are known primarily for their 1994 hit single "Mädchen" ("Girl"), which spent 12 weeks in the German Top 10, eventually reaching number two. The single also charted in the Swiss, Austrian and Dutch markets. Hey Süßer, another of single from the same album, also reached the Top 40 in 1994. Lucilectric would go on to record two more albums and eventually separated in 1999.

The show was hosted by Stefan Raab, Johanna Klum, and Elton in the green room.
The Bundesvision Song Contest 2011 was the seventh edition of the annual Bundesvision Song Contest musical event. The contest was held on 29 September 2011 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, following Unheilig's win in the 2010 contest in Berlin with the song "Unter deiner Flagge". This was the second time that North Rhine-Westphalia had hosted the contest, after previously hosting in the first contest Oberhausen in 2005.
Worst of Jennifer Rostock is the first compilation album by German pop-punk band Jennifer Rostock. It was released on 29 September 2017 by Four Music. It spawns a collection of previously unreleased songs which originated in the production of their first five studio albums Ins Offene Messer (2008), Der Film (2009), Mit Haut und Haar (2011), Schlaflos (2014), and Genau in diesem Ton (2016). The album marks the last release before the band goes on hiatus from May 2018 on.
