Worst of Jennifer Rostock is the first compilation album by German pop-punk band Jennifer Rostock. It was released on 29 September 2017 by Four Music. [7] It spawns a collection of previously unreleased songs which originated in the production of their first five studio albums Ins Offene Messer (2008), Der Film (2009), Mit Haut und Haar (2011), Schlaflos (2014), and Genau in diesem Ton (2016). The album marks the last release before the band goes on hiatus from May 2018 on. [8]

Background

On 18 August 2017, Jennifer Rostock's Facebook account posted a picture of a blank pink square accompanied by the hashtag #wojr to state their imminent release of new music. [9] Three days later, the band uploaded a video onto their Facebook page featuring various clips of custard pie battles and the songs "Kopf Oder Zahl", "Du Willst Mir An Die Wäsche", "Es war nicht alles schlecht", "Ein Schmerz und eine Kehle", as well as "Hengstin". [10] The purpose of the compilation is to celebrate the first 10 years of Jennifer Rostock's career, which began with the release of their first commercial single with Warner Music, "Kopf oder Zahl", in 2008. Track 11 to 13 are songs released on Facebook and YouTube through the last few months. [11] [12] [13] Track 14 was released with the befriended band Grossstadtgeflüster via betterplace. [14]

Singles

Prior to its release, the lead single "Alles cool" was made available for download and streaming on 25 August 2017. [15] Almost one month later, the band announced via their official Facebook page a further single called "Haarspray" with a release date set for 22 September 2017. [16] The accompanying music video premiered on 26 September 2017. [17] Jennifer Weist revealed in an interview with 16Bars.tv that this song and "Wenn Ich Dein Gesicht Seh, Denk Ich An Meine Faust" ("When I See Your Face, I Think of My Fist") were intended to be included on their previous album Genau in diesem Ton . [18] With the release of their third single titled "Die Guten Alten Zeiten" ("The Good Old Times") on 15 November 2017, the band announced to put the group on hold after their planned tour for 2018. [19] The accompanying music video, directed by Michael Winkler, was shot in Weist's and Walter's hometown of Zinnowitz. [20]

All That Remains (band) American metal band

All That Remains is an American heavy metal band from Springfield, Massachusetts, formed in 1998. They have released nine studio albums, a live CD and DVD, and have sold over a million records worldwide. The group currently consists of vocalist Philip Labonte, rhythm guitarist Mike Martin, former Diecast drummer Jason Costa, and lead guitarist Jason Richardson, with Labonte being the last remaining original member. In spite of this, the band's line-up had remained consistent from the release of 2008's Overcome until 2015's The Order of Things, spanning four albums. This line-up changed, however, in September 2015, when long-time bassist Jeanne Sagan left the band, with Patrick taking her place, and then again in February 2019, when the band confirmed that Jason Richardson would be joining the band to replace the deceased lead guitarist and original member, Oli Herbert. In 2021, Aaron Patrick parted ways with All That Remains to focus on his other band, Bury Your Dead.

Get Scared American post-hardcore band

Get Scared is an American post-hardcore band from Layton, Utah, United States, formed in 2008. After their formation they released their first EP Cheap Tricks and Theatrics in 2009. A self-titled EP followed several months later in 2010. The band's debut studio album, Best Kind of Mess, was released on July 12, 2011. Following Nicholas Matthews' first departure to join Blacklisted Me, the band released Cheap Tricks and Theatrics B-Sides on December 19, 2011, without any previous announcements. Matthews was replaced by Joel Faviere near the end of 2011. The band's third EP and first with Faviere, Built for Blame, Laced With Shame, was released in 2012; Faviere was kicked out a few months after the EP's release when Matthews rejoined the band. Following Matthews' comeback, the band signed with Fearless Records and released their second full-length album, Everyone's Out To Get Me, on November 11, 2013. The band's third studio album, Demons, was released on October 30, 2015, and marked a departure from the band's post-hardcore sound featured on Built for Blame and Everyone's Out to Get Me in favor of a more metalcore-like sound. Their fourth and final album, The Dead Days, was released on April 19, 2019 amidst a hiatus; it was later stated by vocalist Nicholas Matthews that the band had broken up due to multiple issues between the band members.

Robert Koch, best known by the stage name Robot Koch, is a German, Los Angeles-based artist, composer, and record producer. Koch made a name for himself as a member of the band Jahcoozi before launching as a solo artist. His electronic music sound has been called "Wonderful and Strange - pop music from the future" by John Peel of the BBC, in 2003.

I Prevail is an American rock band formed in Southfield, Michigan, in 2013. They released their debut EP Heart vs. Mind (2014) and rose to popularity from releasing a metal cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" as a single, which eventually was certified platinum in the US. The band has since released two studio albums, Lifelines (2016) and Trauma (2019). The band found success with their original material as well, with the singles "Breaking Down" and "Hurricane" performing well on rock radio, the single "Bow Down" being nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2019, and Trauma being nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album the same year.

Genau in diesem Ton is the fifth studio album by German pop-punk band Jennifer Rostock. It was released on 9 September 2016 by Four Music, following the expiration of their recording contract with Warner Music Group in 2014. The album became available for pre-order on all music digital distribution platforms on 8 July 2016. Alongside the pre-order, the album's lead single "Irgendwas ist immer" and a further track titled "Wir sind alle nicht von hier" were released. Since the announcement of the album, the band has further teased the new music through the release of promotional singles "Uns gehört die Nacht" and "Wir waren hier".
