Jessy Franco (born 7 December 1998) is a Gibraltarian sprinter. [1] He represented his territory in the 400 metres at the 2019 World Championships in Doha without advancing from the first round but setting a new national record of 47.41.

Contents

He has a Gibraltarian father and Faroese mother who met when competing at the 1989 Island Games in athletics and gymnastics respectively. [2] Jessy himself later competed at two editions of the Games. His older brother Julian was also a sprinter.

Richards took 200m titles at both the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. Sibusiso Bruno Matsenjwa is a sprinter from Eswatini. He competed in the 200 metres at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, but failed to reach the finals. He broke the national record on both occasions and served as the flag bearer for Eswatini during the opening ceremony in 2016. Matsenjwa holds national records over 100–400 m distances. The mark places her only behind contested results of Marita Koch and Jarmila Kratochvílová. Over the distance, at only 19, Naser was the 2017 World silver medallist. She has also won, as a member of Bahraini mixed-gender 4x400 m relay team, the 2019 World Championships bronze medal.

Noah Lyles is an American professional track and field sprinter competing in the 100 meters and 200 meters. He is the 2020 Tokyo Olympic 200 m bronze medalist and a six-time World champion, having won the 200 m and 4 x 100 m at the 2019 World Championships, the 200 m at the 2022 World Championships, and the 100 m, 200 m, and 4 x 100 m events at the 2023 World Championships, becoming the first man since Usain Bolt in 2015 to complete the sprint treble at a World Championships. At the 2022 Championships, Lyles also earned a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m relay.
