Ireland, also known as the Republic of Ireland, is a country in north-western Europe consisting of 26 of the 32 counties of the island of Ireland. The capital and largest city is Dublin, on the eastern side of the island. Around 2.1 million of the country's population of 5.13 million people resides in the Greater Dublin Area. The sovereign state shares its only land border with Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. The head of government is the Taoiseach, who is elected by the Dáil and appointed by the President; the Taoiseach in turn appoints other government ministers.

Ballinrobe has become a bottleneck on the route in recent years with up to 8,000 vehicles passing through the town's one-way streets. A bypass for the town is in the planning.

The R205 road is a regional road in Ireland from the R199 road in County Leitrim to the Northern Ireland border at County Fermanagh, mostly in County Cavan. A number of factories of the former Quinn Group are located along the road.

The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the eighth ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament. It was played in Australia from 16 October to 13 November 2022. Although originally scheduled to be held in 2020, in July 2020, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the tournament had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In August 2020, the ICC confirmed that Australia would host the rearranged tournament in 2022, while the T20 World Cup would take place in India in 2021 as originally planned, but that was later moved to the United Arab Emirates and Oman. On 21 January 2022, the ICC confirmed all the fixtures for the tournament. Hosts Australia were also the defending champions.
