Jiji Panaparampil Joseph, also known as Jijimon Joseph (born 5 March 1981) is a location sound recordist, sound designer and film editor in Indian film industry. He won the first ever Kerala State Film Award 2014 [1] [2] for location sound recording [3] for the film Oraalppokkam [4] [5] and the consecutive year for the film Ozhivudivasathe Kali [6] in fraternization with Sandeep Kurissery (now known as Sandeep Madhavam). He has fashioned his film career collaborating on feature films and short films in Malayalam cinema.
Jiji Joseph was born in Kanjirappally, Kerala, India to Joseph Varghese and Mariyamma Joseph, the youngest of four children. The dynamics and technicalities of film making was always a fascinating part of his dream and he had dreamed of being a part of the feature films. At the completion of schooling, he obtained diplomas in multimedia and computer hardware. Later, he gained an advanced diploma in digital editing and audio engineering from Keltron Advanced Training Centre, Sasthamangalam, Trivandrum.
He started his career as a cable network technician in his neighborhood. After 7 years of satellite communication service, he began his professional career as a video editor in Shalom TV in 2008. He moved to Manorama News (MMTV) in 2009 and continued the same profession until 2011. He also served as senior video editor in Goodness TV from 2012 through 2014.
In 2010, he committed for the first time to collaborate with a short film Will you be there? by Sandeep Kurissery and in 2013, he worked along with Sandeep as location sound recordist and editor for another short film Amguleechaalitham [7] ("Manipulated by fingers") by Prasanth Vijay. In 2014, in collaboration with Sandeep, he did the location sound for the first feature film Oraalppokkam [8] [9] ("Six Feet High") directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, that brought him the Kerala State Film Award for the Best Sync Sound (location sound) in 2014. The following year, he committed his second project again with Sanal Kumar Sasidharan for his feature film Ozhivudivasathe Kali [10] ("An Off day Game") that carried for a second time the Kerala State Film Award 2015 for the Best Sync Sound. In 2015, he did the location sound for the film Savam [11] ("The Corpse") directed by Don Palathra. He recorded the location sound for the Marathi/Hindi film Eli Eli Lama Sabachthani? [12] ("The Forsaken") directed by Jiju Antony in 2016. He worked as location sound recordist, sound designer (along with Sandeep Kurissery) and film editor in the feature film Athisayangalude Venal ("The Summer of Miracles") directed by Prasanth Vijay in 2017.
Jiji is married to Sonia. The couple have two children, Elon J Joseph and Eian J Joseph. He belongs from Chotty, a small village situated between Kanjirappally and Mundakayam, in the district of Kottayam, Kerala, India. He lives in Taunton, Somerset, United Kingdom.

Kerala State Motion Picture Academy is an autonomous non-profit institution based in Trivandrum, working under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. It was founded in August 1998 for the promotion of cinema in Kerala, considering that cinema is the most popular art form in the state. The academy was first of its kind in India; it was formed on the basis of the Karant committee report (1980), which proposed the formation of a national film academy. Under the leadership of T. K. Ramakrishnan, The Minister for Cultural Affairs appointed Shaji N. Karun as its first chairman.
The J. C. Daniel Award is the highest award in Malayalam cinema, established by the Government of Kerala, India. It is presented annually by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy, a non-profit institution operating under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Kerala. Instituted in 1992, the award recognizes individuals for their "outstanding contributions to Malayalam cinema". Recipients are selected by a jury appointed by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy and the Department of Cultural Affairs. As of 2021, the honourees receive a statuette, a citation, and a cash prize of ₹500,000 (US$6,000). They are honoured at the Kerala State Film Awards ceremony.
Venkiteswaran Chittur Subramanian is an Indian film critic, professor, documentary filmmaker, writer and occasional subtitler from Chalakudi, Kerala, India, who writes predominantly in English and Malayalam. He won the National Film Award for Best Film Critic in 2009 and shared the National Film Award for Best Arts/Cultural Film with M.R. Rajan for directing the documentary film, Pakarnattam in 1995.
Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi or Kazhcha Film Forum is a film collective in Kerala, India. It started in the year 2001 at Neyyattinkara thaluk in Thiruvananthapuram district as a collective effort of film lovers. It has produced three short films. In the year 2013 the film society has been registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955.
Oraalppokkam is a 2014 Malayalam film written and directed by Sanalkumar Sasidharan. It is the first Malayalam movie that has been produced through online crowdfunding. This is an initiative of Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi, a film society movement based in Thiruvananthapuram. Kazhcha has a history of producing short movies with the financial contribution from film lovers. Oraalppokkam is the fourth venture of Kazhcha. It is claimed that Oraalppokkam will be copyleft after five years from the date of release.
P. Jayachandran , better known by his pen name Unni R., is an Indian short-story writer and screenwriter, who is known for his work in Malayalam literature and Malayalam cinema. Born in Kudamaloor in Kottayam district, he is currently based in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He studied in Kudamaloor LP school, CMS college High school, CMS College Kottayam and Baselius College, Kottayam. Unni R. won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Screenplay for the film Charlie (2015).
Sandeep Kurissery is an Indian film sound designer, sound editor and location sound recordist. He, along with Jiji P Joseph won the first ever award for location sound recording for the film Oraalppokkam in the 2014 Kerala State Film Awards. The duo won the award again in 2015 with Ozhivudivasathe Kali. Sandeep has worked with some of the leading filmmakers in South India like Girish Kasaravalli, Shaji N Karun, Vipin Vijay and Shyamaprasad.

Ozhivu Divasathe Kali is a 2015 Indian Malayalam indie drama film directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan, based on the short story of the same name by Unni R. The film follows five middle-aged men who get together for a booze party during an election holiday in Kerala. It won the 46th Kerala State Film Award for Best Film. The film was included in The Hindu's top 25 Malayalam films of the decade and is widely regarded as one of the defining movies of the Malayalam New Wave.

Athisayangalude Venal is a 2017 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by debutant Prasanth Vijay. It is produced by Nikhil Narendran under the banner of Iceskating in Tropics and has Chandra Kiran GK, Reina Maria and Arya Manikandan in the lead roles. Chandra Kiran won a Special Jury Mention for his acting at the 48th Kerala State Film Awards and was declared the Best Actor of the 2018 Singapore South Asian International Film Festival. The film won the best debut award at the 2018 UK Asian Film Festival. In 2019, the film also featured in the list of 'The Best 200 Indian Films of the Decade' by Rediff.com.

The festival debuted in 2017, and is hosted by Kazhcha Chalachithra Vedi, a local film society, in collaboration with Niv Art Centre, an Art and Cultural society in New Delhi. The festival is held in December parallel to the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).

The two families are going through their difficult times.
