Description

After the release of Mint Jams, an album created to break into the European market, keyboardist Minoru Mukaiya traveled to Europe to show off the album. The band traveled to record in London, all members brought their instruments except for Sakurai, who left his "Milk-Bass" in Japan, and instead used a similar looking BB2000.

Jive Jive is Casiopea's first album since their debut to use horn arrangements.

London Concert

On September 29th, during the recording session, Casiopea played a concert in London's Dominion Theatre, video was released after the band disbanded of this concert, the video only included some songs, tracks 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 11 on the setlist.

"Mid-Manhattan" was heavily extended, including drum and overdrive bass solos, reaching over 14 minutes in length.

Casiopea, now known in its fourth iteration as Casiopea-P4, is a Japanese jazz fusion band formed in 1976 by guitarist Issei Noro, bassist Tetsuo Sakurai, drummer Tohru "Rika" Suzuki, and keyboardist Hidehiko Koike.
