Joan Ellen Pease (born 15 September 1961) is an Australian politician. She has been the Labor member for Lytton in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2015. [1] Her previous work included providing training programs for the long term unemployed and running a small business. [2]
Edward George Earle Lytton Bulwer-Lytton,1st Baron Lytton,PC was an English writer and politician. He served as a Whig member of Parliament from 1831 to 1841 and a Conservative from 1851 to 1866. He was Secretary of State for the Colonies from June 1858 to June 1859,choosing Richard Clement Moody as founder of British Columbia. He declined the Crown of Greece in 1862 after King Otto abdicated. He was created Baron Lytton of Knebworth in 1866. His detention of writer Rosina Bulwer Lytton,whom he had married,in an insane asylum provoked a public outcry. Bulwer-Lytton's works sold and paid him well. He coined famous phrases like "the great unwashed","pursuit of the almighty dollar","the pen is mightier than the sword","dweller on the threshold",and the opening phrase "It was a dark and stormy night." The sardonic Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest,held annually since 1982,claims to seek the "opening sentence of the worst of all possible novels".
Fort Lytton National Park is a national park in Lytton,City of Brisbane,Queensland,Australia. Its main attraction is Fort Lytton Historic Military Precinct,providing guided tours of historic Fort Lytton,a museum and re-enactments. The park was created in 1990 as Queensland's first historic national park. It initially contained only heritage-listed Fort Lytton,a colonial coastal fort that continued to operate as a military base until after the Second World War. The park was extended in 1999 to include Lytton Quarantine Station which occupied adjacent land. The Quarantine Station is also heritage-listed,but is only open to the public on special occasions.

The historic fort is now contained in Fort Lytton National Park. The park is open to the public on most Sundays and public holidays.
