Joseph T. Parisi is an American politician,from Madison,Wisconsin. Parisi currently serves as Dane CountyExecutive,having taken office on April 18,2011,and being re-elected in 2013 after running unopposed. A Democrat,Parisi served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly from 2005 until 2011.
In 2006,he again faced Long in the general election,and defeated him by a fractionally larger margin.[3] In 2008,he was unopposed in both the primary and general elections.[4] In 2010,he defeated Spencer Zimmerman (Republican) and Grant Gilbertson (independent running as a "Progress-Freedom" candidate),with 20,650 for Parisi,6929 for Zimmerman,and 893 for Gilbertson.[5] His work in the State Assembly focused on criminal justice,ending domestic abuse and sexual assault and workforce development. In 2014 he testified in favor of a living wage before a Senate committee that had fast-tracked legislation against it.[6]
On April 14,2011,after having been elected Dane County Executive,Parisi resigned from the Wisconsin State Assembly.[7][8] He was succeeded by Chris Taylor,who was unopposed in the general election after winning a six-way Democratic primary election.
Dane County Executive
On April 5,2011,Parisi was elected Dane County Executive with 70.1% of the vote,defeating Eileen Bruskewitz,who garnered 29.8%.[9] He began his two-year term on April 18. Parisi succeeded Kathleen Falk who retired in the middle of her fourth four-year term.
Parisi was elected to a full four-year term in April 2013,and re-elected in 2017,without facing opposition in either election.[10] He was re-elected to a third full term on April 6,2021,defeating Mary Ann Nicholson,an accountant who suspended her campaign after her husband's death but remained on the ballot.[11] Parisi received 78.9% of the vote to Nicholson's 20.9%.[12]
In October 2023,Parisi announced he would retire after 13 years as county executive,and plans to leave office in May 2024,a year before the expiration of his current term.[13]

David A. Cullen is an American lawyer and Democratic politician from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the current treasurer of Milwaukee County. Prior to his election as treasurer in 2014, he served 13 years as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly (1990–2013), two years on the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors (2012–2014), and 7 years on the Milwaukee Public Schools Board of Education (1983–1990).

The 2023 Wisconsin Spring Election was held in the U.S. state of Wisconsin on April 4, 2023. The featured race at the top of the ticket was for an open seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, which became the most expensive judicial election in history. Several other nonpartisan local and judicial offices were also decided on the April 4 ballot, including mayoral elections in some of Wisconsin's larger cities—Green Bay, Madison, and Racine. In addition, a special election was held in the 8th State Senate district, concurrent with the Spring elections. The 2023 Wisconsin Spring Primary was held February 21, 2023.
Scott Andrew McDonell is an American politician from Madison, Wisconsin. A Democrat, McDonell currently serves as the County Clerk in Dane County, Wisconsin having been elected to the position on November 6, 2012, and reelected in 2016 and 2020. Before his service as Clerk, McDonell served on the Dane County Board of Supervisors from 1996 to 2013, including eight years as chair.
