Joseph Peter Phillips (born 9 November 2003) is an English cricketer who plays for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club. He is a right-handed batsman and right arm offbreak bowler. He made his First class cricket debut for Gloucestershire against Glamorgan on 20 July 2023. He made his List-A cricket debut against Northants on 4 August 2023.
From Cornwall,he attended Penair School in Truro and Clifton College. [1] [2] He played for Cornwall County Cricket Club as a youngster. [3]
He was part of the Gloucestershire County Cricket Club Acadmey for three years prior to signing a short term pro-contract in May 2023. [4] He scored 17 on debut in the 2023 County Championship against Glamorgan in July 2023. [5] That month,he hit a half-century in his second game against Worcestershire. [6] He also impressed in T20 Cricket for the county in scoring 71 not out against the touring New Zealand side in August 2023. He signed a two-year contract extension with Gloucestershire in October 2023. [7]
