Ramnaresh Ronnie Sarwan is a former Guyanese cricketer who played as a batsman. He is a former member and former captain of the West Indies cricket team,in all formats. Sarwan went on to average over 40 in both the test and one day international forms of cricket. He is considered to be one of the best West Indian batters of his generation. Sarwan was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2004 ICC Champions Trophy,and was subsequently the player of the tournament.
Gloucestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Gloucestershire. Founded in 1870,Gloucestershire has always been first-class and has played in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England. The club played its first senior match in 1870 and W. G. Grace was their captain. The club plays home games at the Bristol County Ground in the Bishopston area of north Bristol. A number of games are also played at the Cheltenham Cricket Festival at the College Ground,Cheltenham and matches have also been played at the Gloucester cricket festival at The King's School,Gloucester.
Jerome Everton Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who has played as a fast bowler for the West Indies. Taylor eventually picked up 100 wickets for the Windies in both tests and odis. During 2017 he reversed an initial decision to retire from international cricket. Taylor has also featured for Jamaica,English sides Somerset,Leicestershire and Sussex,CPL teams St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tallawahs and IPL sides Pune Warriors and Mumbai Indians in his cricketing career. Taylor was a member of the West Indies team that won the 2016 T20 World Cup. He is the only bowler to have ever taken a hat-trick in a Champions Trophy match,which he did in the 2006 tournament against Australia,and that was the first hat-trick taken by a West Indian bowler in the ODI format.
Anthony John Ireland is a former cricketer from Zimbabwe. A fast bowler,he performed consistently during his tenure with Zimbabwe,taking 38 wickets in 26 matches at an average of 29.34. He was one of many talented white Zimbabweans to leave the team due to the situation of the ZCU and the country,to pursue careers in English domestic cricket,where he represented Gloucestershire and Middlesex before joining Leicestershire for the 2013 season,retiring from professional cricket at the end of the 2014 season.

In 2009,Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season. A promising talent in his 34 white-ball appearances for England,Taylor was forced into retirement at just 26 years of age due to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.

He was born in Nottingham,and made his first-class debut for Derbyshire in the 2010 against Gloucestershire,taking five wickets in the match. Sheikh played for Leicestershire in 2014. In February 2017,Sheikh signed for newly promoted Yorkshire league team,Tickhill Cricket Club.

Matches were contested over 50 overs per side and had List A cricket status. All eighteen First-class counties competed in the tournament which ran from the end of April with the final taking place at Lord's on 1 July. Nottinghamshire won the tournament,defeating Surrey in the final. The defending champions were Warwickshire.

The 2019 Vitality Blast was the seventeenth edition of the T20 Blast currently known as the Vitality Blast,a professional Twenty20 cricket league that was played in England and Wales which was run by the ECB,has been branded as the Vitality Blast due to a new sponsorship deal. The league consisted of the 18 first-class county teams divided into two divisions of nine teams each with fixtures played,slightly later than usual,between July and September. Finals Day took place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham on 21 September 2019. Worcestershire Rapids were the defending champions.
The 2024 County Championship was the 124th County Championship cricket season in England and Wales. As in 2023,Division One had ten teams and Division Two had eight teams. The season began on 5 April and ended on 29 September 2024. Surrey won the title with one match remaining,repeating their success in 2022 and 2023. They were the first team to become champions in three successive years since Yorkshire in 1966–68,having last achieved this feat themselves in 1958.
