David Alan Payne (born 15 February 1991) is an English cricketer who made his debut for Gloucestershire in 2009. A left-arm fast-medium bowler,he has represented England at U-19 level in both Test matches and One Day Internationals. He was named as part of the squad for the 2010 U-19 Cricket World Cup. Since his debut for Gloucestershire,he has become a key part of their bowling attack and often opened,and has also showed promise with the bat,by scoring his maiden First Class half-century at the end of the 2011 season. [1] Payne made his international debut for the England cricket team in June 2022.
Payne took a career best of 7–29 in the 2010 Clydesdale Bank 40 group match against Essex at Chelmsford in 2010. He dismissed James Foster,Grant Flower,Tim Phillips and Jaik Mickleburgh in just 4 balls,having previously dismissed Graham Napier just 2 balls before. [2]
In July 2021,Payne was named in England's One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against Pakistan, [3] after the original squad for the tour was forced to withdraw following positive tests for COVID-19. [4] In December 2021,Payne was named in England's Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for their series against the West Indies. [5]
In April 2022,he was bought by the Welsh Fire for the 2022 season of The Hundred. [6] The following month,Payne was named in England's ODI squad for their series against the Netherlands. [7] Payne made his ODI debut on 22 June 2022,for England against the Netherlands. [8]
Luteru Ross Poutoa Lote Taylor is a former New Zealand international cricketer and former captain of the New Zealand national team. Batting predominantly at number four,when he announced his retirement from international cricket at the end of 2021,he was the leading run-scorer for New Zealand in Test and One Day International cricket. Taylor was a key member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship,where he scored the winning boundary in the final. He was also a part of the New Zealand squads to finish as runners-up in two Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.
Jerome Everton Taylor is a Jamaican cricketer who has played as a fast bowler for the West Indies. Taylor eventually picked up 100 wickets for the Windies in both tests and odis. During 2017 he reversed an initial decision to retire from international cricket. Moeen Munir Ali is an English cricketer who serves as vice-captain for England in limited overs cricket. He played Test cricket for England between 2014 and 2023,when he became only the 16th person to hit 3,000 runs and take 200 wickets in Tests. In domestic cricket he represents Warwickshire,having previously played for Worcestershire. He has also played in multiple Twenty20 leagues,including for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
Ravinder Singh Bopara is an English cricketer who plays for Northamptonshire and has represented the England national team. Originally a top-order batsman,his developing medium pace bowling has made him a batting all rounder in the one day game. Bopara has also played for Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League,Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League,Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League,and Chittagong Vikings in the Bangladesh Premier League. Timothy Grant Southee,is a New Zealand international cricketer who captains for New Zealand cricket team in all formats of the game. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler and a hard-hitting lower order batsman. The third New Zealand bowler to take 300 Test wickets,he was one of the country's youngest cricketers,debuting at the age of 19 in February 2008. On his Test debut against England he took 5 wickets and made 77 off 40 balls in the second innings. He plays for Northern Districts in the Plunket Shield,Ford Trophy and Super Smash as well as Northland in the Hawke Cup. He was named as New Zealand's captain for the first T20I against West Indies in place of Kane Williamson,who was rested for that game. The Blackcaps won that match by 47 runs. Southee was a member of the New Zealand team that won the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship. Southee currently has the highest (international) test batting strike rate among the batsmen with a minimum of 2000 test runs. His (batting) career strike rate is 83.12. He was also a part of the New Zealand squads to finish as runners-up in two Cricket World Cup finals in 2015 and 2019.
William Thomas Stuart Porterfield is an Irish former cricketer and a former captain of the Ireland cricket team. He played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. A left-handed batsman,he played for Ireland from 2006 to 2022,and has captained Ireland at all levels from Under-13 and is considered one of the greatest Irish cricketers of all time. During Afghanistan T20I series in March 2017,he passed 1,000 runs in T20Is and became the first player from Ireland to do so.
