Johann Layne (born 10 September 2003) is a West Indian cricketer. [1]
In December 2021,he was named in the West Indies squad for the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. [2] [3] He made his List A debut for West Indies Academy against Leeward Islands on 29 October 2022 during the 2022–23 Super50 Cup. [4]
He made his first-class debut on 19 April 2023 playing for West Indies Academy against Team Headley during the 2023 Headley Weekes Tri-Series. [5] He made his T20 debut playing for the St Kitts &Nevis Patriots in a league stage match against Guyana Amazon Warriors on 2 September 2023 during the 2023 Caribbean Premier League. [6]
In November 2023,he was named in the West Indies Academy squad to face Emerging Ireland side in List A and first-class series. [7] [8]

Tagenarine Brandon Chanderpaul is a Guyanese cricketer who plays for Guyana in first-class cricket. He is a left-hand opening batsman. He made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team in November 2022. He is the eldest son of West Indies batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He played the role of cricketer Larry Gomes in the Bollywood film 83.
Shai Diego Hope is a Barbadian cricketer,who plays as a wicketkeeper/batsman for the West Indies cricket team. He is also the current ODI captain of the Windies. In June 2018,he was named the Men's Cricketer of the Year,Test Cricketer of the Year and the ODI Cricketer of the Year at the annual Cricket West Indies' Awards. The following year,he was named the CWI ODI Player of the Year. He is generally regarded as one of the best ODI batsmen in the contemporary cricketing world. Hope has also twice been named,for both 2020 and 2022,in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.

2023 Headley Weekes Tri-Series is the inaugural season of the Headley Weekes Tri-Series,a domestic first-class cricket competition organized by Cricket West Indies (CWI) and named in honour of West Indian cricketers George Headley and Everton Weekes. It took place from 19 April to 6 May 2023. It is a tri-series between Team Headley,Team Weekes and West Indies Academy,with the matches being played as first-class fixtures. Team Headley and Team Weekes were composed of players who were the leading performers in the 2022–23 West Indies Championship and those deemed to be on the fringe of the Test team;with CWI and the selectors aiming to provide further first-class cricketing opportunities for the benefit of these two sets of players. All three matches were played at Coolidge Cricket Ground,Antigua. The tournament was used as preparation ahead of West Indies A's tour to Bangladesh and Test series against India at home.
The West Indies Academy,formerly known as West Indies Emerging Team is a cricket team,that plays first-class and List A cricket in the West Indian domestic circuit. The team has no geographical base,rather is made up of the emerging players and top youth performers in the Caribbean. They are currently captained by Nyeem Young,and coached by Andre Coley.
