Johnny Doyle is a Gaelic footballer who plays for Allenwood and, formerly, at senior level for the Kildare county team.
Doyle has won one Agricultural Colleges All-Ireland. His talents are very versatile and he has won an All-Ireland Cross Country Athletic College medal and won several boxing medals. [1] Doyle also more recently[ when? ] has taken up a managerial role with the Maynooth Sigerson first team.
Doyle plays his club football for Allenwood and was awarded Kildare Footballer of the Year in 2004 and 2005. He won the Kildare Senior Football Championship with Allenwood in 2004. Doyle and Allenwood's form continued in 2006 with a Kildare Senior Football Championship final appearance against Moorefield.
He did not miss a championship match for his club between his debut in 1995 and 2022 (when he had an injury) and started every championship match for his club between 2000 and 2013. [2] [3]
Doyle won one Leinster Senior Football Championship medal with Kildare in 2000 and a Kildare Under-21 county title. He was all round top scorer in the 2008 and 2010 Championships. Doyle was named as a 2010 Vodafone GAA football All Star for his performances with Kildare in the 2010 Championship. In 2012 Doyle captained Kildare to the National Football League Division 2 title with a win over Tyrone. In 2012 and 2013 he was on the Kildare team to win the O'Byrne Cup. Doyle announced his retirement from inter-county football on 6 April 2014, at the age of 36. On his retirement Doyle had appeared 154 times for his county over a 15-year span.
In 2019, at the age of 41, he made a surprise return to the inter-county game when he joined the Kildare junior team.
Doyle was called up for the 2013 International Rules Series as a replacement for Aidan O'Shea ahead of the second Test. [4] He played for Ireland against Australia at Croke Park and won the Series. [5]

The Kildare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kildare GAA, is one of 12 county boards governed by the Leinster provincial council of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Kildare

Ray "Cossy" Cosgrove is an Irish Gaelic footballer, born in Dublin. He attended St. Benildus College in Kilmacud. He plays his club football for Kilmacud Crokes and played for the Dublin senior football team between 1996 and 2008. He will be most remembered for his incredible performances in the 2002 scoring an amazing 6–23 in a season which saw Dublin lift their first Leinster title since 1995.
Alan Brogan is a Gaelic footballer from the St Oliver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh club who played for the Dublin county team from 2002 until his retirement in 2015. He can play in the full forward line but usually played centre half forward for Dublin.
Michael Fennelly is an Irish hurling manager and former player. His league and championship career at senior level with the Kilkenny county team lasted twelve seasons from 2006 until 2017. He managed the Offaly senior hurling team between 2019 and 2022.

From a famous footballing family, he is the son of former All-Ireland winning and All Star player Bernard Brogan Snr and is the brother of former Dublin players Alan and Paul. His uncle Jim was also an inter-county footballer for Dublin. Alongside most of his family, Brogan has attended St. Declan's College on Navan Road.

Ryan O'Dwyer is an Irish former inter-county hurler who played as a half forward for Dublin. He continues to play club hurling with Kilmacud Crokes. The County Tipperary-born player previously hurled with his local club Cashel King Cormac's and with the Tipperary senior inter-county team. In 2019 O’Dwyer began coaching Longwood, a small rural club in Meath, with notable players such as Michael Burke. The team will compete in the Meath senior hurling championship of 2019.

David Herity is an Irish hurling manager and former hurler and Gaelic footballer. He is the manager of the Kildare senior hurling team. Herity played for Kilkenny Championship club Dunnamaggin and was a member of the Kilkenny senior hurling team for eight seasons, during which time he lined out as a goalkeeper.
