Jolien Maliga Boumkwo (born 27 August 1993) is a Belgian athlete competing in the shot put and hammer throw. [1] She holds national records in both indoor and outdoor shot put .
In 2023 she attracted international attention after stepping in to replace injured teammate Anne Zagré (with fellow hurdler Hanne Claes also injured) in the 100m hurdles event at the 2023 European Athletics Team Championships. Taking the course at a relaxed pace to avoid risk of injury, she finished last with a time of 32.81s, picking up two points towards the national score due to a false start by another hurdler. [2] [3]

The shot put is a track and field event involving "putting" (throwing) a heavy spherical ball—the shot—as far as possible. For men, the sport has been a part of the modern Olympics since their revival (1896), and women's competition began in 1948.
Nadzeya Astapchuk is a Belarusian shot putter. She briefly was designated the Olympic Champion in 2012, but was subsequently stripped of the title for failing a drug test and the gold medal was awarded to New Zealand shot putter Valerie Adams. She was World Champion in 2005, but in March 2013, the IAAF reported that her drug test sample from that event had been retested and found to be positive.
For the athletics competitions at the 2012 Summer Olympics the following qualification systems were in place. The list has been updated to 30 June 2012. Qualification ended on 8 July 2012.
The NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships are the annual collegiate track and field competitions for women athletes representing Division I institutions organised by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Athletes' performances in individual championships earn points for their institutions and the team with the most points receives the NCAA team title in track and field. A separate NCAA Division I men's competition is also held. These two events are separate from the NCAA Division I Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships and NCAA Division I Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships held during the winter. The first edition of the championship was held in 1982.

DeAnna Marie Price is an American track and field athlete competing primarily in the hammer throw. Price's personal best in the hammer is 80.31 m (263 ft 5 in), the American record, set at the 2021 US Olympic trials. The throw ranked her as the #2 women's thrower in history.

Maggie Ewen is an American shot putter. Maggie Ewen earned bronze medal when she threw the discus 59.00 m in Toronto at 2018 NACAC Championships, placed fourth in the shot put at 2019 World Athletics Championships and competed in the women's hammer throw at the 2017 World Championships in Athletics. Ewen set collegiate outdoor records in shot put and hammer.

The 2014 French Athletics Championships was the 126th edition of the national championship in outdoor track and field for France. It was held on 11–13 July at the Stade Georges-Hébert in Reims. A total of 38 events were contested over the three-day competition.
Chase Foster Jackson is an American track and field athlete who competes in shot put and discus throw. She won the gold medal at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in women's shot put, which made her the first American woman to win a shot put world title at the World Athletics Championships. The 2023 Belgian Indoor Athletics Championships was the year's national championship in indoor track and field for Belgium. It was held on Sunday 19 February at the Flanders Sports Arena in Ghent. A total of 25 events, 13 for men and 12 for women, were contested. It served as preparation for the 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships.
