Jon St. John is an American voice actor, former radio personality and ordained minister. He is best known for his voice roles such as Duke Nukem in the Duke Nukem video game series and Big the Cat and E-123 Omega in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise.
He started his career in voice work in 1975, when he was a Top 40 radio DJ in North Carolina. Because of his vocal talent and technical skills, he was hired as a production director for several US radio stations in cities including: New Orleans, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, and Los Angeles. St. John was a radio personality for many years most recently on K-EARTH 101 in Los Angeles. [1]
He has provided the voice for numerous video game characters, such as the voice for the drill instructor Dwight T. Barnes as well as various other Marines in Half-Life: Opposing Force . He has done the voices for Big the Cat in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes , Trash Man, General Warthog and other characters in Twisted Metal 4 , E-102 Gamma in Sonic Battle , the announcer in Sonic Advance 3 , E-123 Omega in Sonic Heroes, Bolt Logan in Chrome and Chrome: SpecForce and Agent Michael Ford in Conduit 2 . He also voiced the „Postal Dude“ in Postal 3 .
St. John is best known for being the voice of Duke Nukem in the Duke Nukem video game series from 1996 onwards, starting with Duke Nukem 3D with re-casting of Joe Siegler and Todd Replogle of Apogee Software. He stated in an interview that the voice of Duke Nukem was based upon Clint Eastwood's voice with a lower pitch.[ citation needed ]
He dubs the voice of professor Simon and Archibald in Runaway 2: The Dream of the Turtle . He provided the narrator's voice in Forsaken . He voiced Jack Boyd in the video games This Is The Police and its sequel. St. John voices characters for rides and attractions at the Legoland theme park in Carlsbad, CA. and at Dollywood theme park in Tennessee, he's the voice of Buzz the Buzzard, an audio animatronic character who introduces riders to the Mystery Mine ride. He was also the crew chief in NASCAR Racing 2003 Season , NASCAR Racing 2002 Season , and NASCAR Racing 4 . In 2011, he voiced for an exclusive Heroes of Newerth announcer pack [2] and also a special sound pack for the TeamSpeak voice communication software. [3] He is currently working on voicing for Dudebro II and Dota 2 , [2] as well as providing PvP voiceovers for Guild Wars 2. [4]
In 2019, he took on the role of the Postal Dude for Postal 4: No Regerts , stepping in to replace Rick Hunter, the previous voice actor, due to unavailability.
In August 2019, St. John announced he was now an Ordained Minister. [5]

Duke Nukem 3D is a first-person shooter video game developed by 3D Realms. It is a sequel to the platform games Duke Nukem and Duke Nukem II, published by 3D Realms.
Sonic the Hedgehog is a fictional character created by Naoto Ohshima and Yuji Naka. The title character of Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog video game franchise, Sonic is an anthropomorphic blue hedgehog who can run at supersonic speeds and curl into a ball to attack enemies. He races through levels, collecting power-up rings and avoiding obstacles, as he seeks to defeat the mad scientist Doctor Eggman.
Running with Scissors (RWS) is an American video game developer based in Tucson, Arizona. It was founded in 1996 by Vince Desi through a business decision of Riedel Software Productions, a maker of child-friendly games. RWS created and maintains the Postal franchise, which has often caused controversy for its use of violence. RWS' first game was Postal in 1997, which caused much controversy and a trademark lawsuit from the United States Postal Service that lasted until 2003. A potential second game, Flesh and Wire, was canceled in 1999. The company followed up Postal with Postal 2 in 2003. The third game in the series, Postal III, was co-developed by RWS and an internal team of publisher Akella, and RWS distanced itself from the game due to poor critical reception. RWS most recently worked on Postal 4: No Regerts, which was released in 2022, and the spin-off Postal: Brain Damaged.
Postal is a 1997 isometric top-down shooter video game developed by Running with Scissors and published by Ripcord Games. A sequel to the game, Postal 2, was released in 2003. Two additional sequels, Postal III and Postal 4: No Regerts, were released in 2011 and 2022, respectively. Director Uwe Boll bought the movie rights for the series and produced a film of the same name. A March 2001 re-release of the game, called Postal Plus, included a "Special Delivery" add-on. A remake of the game, Postal Redux, was released for Microsoft Windows on May 20, 2016, and was later released for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch digital stores. At the end of 2016, the game's source code was released under the GNU GPL-2.0-only. At the end of 2019, Running With Scissors released the game as freeware.
Postal 2 is a 2003 first-person shooter video game developed by Running with Scissors and published by Whiptail Interactive. It is the sequel to the 1997 game Postal and was released for Microsoft Windows in April 2003, macOS in April 2004 and Linux in April 2005. Postal 2, as well as its predecessor, has received notoriety for its high levels of violence, stereotyping, and black comedy. Unlike the first installment, Postal 2 is played from a first-person perspective, rather than an isometric perspective. The game is the first in the series to feature an open world.
Gearbox Software is an American video game development company based in Frisco, Texas. It was released on October 14, 2019, for Windows through Steam's Early Access program, a decision which was made to acquire public funding for the project and to involve the Postal community in the game's development process. Running with Scissors described the game as the "true sequel" to Postal 2, contrasting it with Postal 2's unsuccessful 2011 sequel Postal III, which was strongly panned by critics and players. Postal 4 was released on April 20, 2022 to largely negative reception, with multiple reviewers criticising the game's performance, poor gameplay, and dated humor. The game was released for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on March 21, 2023.
