Jonathan Tan Eu Jin (born 11 March 2002) [1] is a Singaporean swimmer. He represented Singapore at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea and he finished in 34th place in the heats in the men's 50 metre freestyle event. [2]
He qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics after meeting the Olympics 'A' cut of 21.96 s for 50 m freestyle, clocking 21.91 s in the heats at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games. [3]
In 2018, Tan represented Singapore at the Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia and he competed in one individual event and two relays events. [4] He finished in 14th place in the heats in the men's 200 metre freestyle event. [4] He won the bronze medal both in the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay and men's 4 × 200 m freestyle relay events. [4]
During the 16th Singapore National Swimming Championships Invitationals in 2021, Tan broke his own national record for the men’s 50m freestyle with 22.12 seconds [5] and qualified for the 2021 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games). [6] However, it was 0.1 second slower than the required 22.02 seconds to qualify for the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Japan. [5] Tan would also qualify for both 50m and 100m freestyle events for the 2021 SEA Games. [6] Tan won the men's 200m freestyle event with 1 min 50.17 seconds but failed to qualify for both 2021 SEA Games and the 2020 Summer Olympics. [6]
Tan competed in the men's 50 metre freestyle and men's 100 metre freestyle events at the 2024 Summer Olympics held in Paris, France.
Tan studied at Anglo-Chinese School from primary school to junior college. He graduated from Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) with an International Baccalaureate diploma. In 2022, Tan enrolled at Stanford University on a partial scholarship. [7]

Joseph Isaac Schooling is a Singaporean former professional swimmer who specialised in butterfly, freestyle, and medley events. He was the gold medalist in the 100m butterfly at the 2016 Olympics, achieving Singapore's first ever Olympic gold medal. His winning time of 50.39s broke multiple records at the National, Southeast Asian, Asian, and Olympic levels.
Vladimir Viktorovich Morozov is a retired Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic medalist. He is the former world record holder in the short course 100-metre individual medley, the current, World Cup record and Russian national record holder in the 100-metre individual medley and 100-metre freestyle, and Russian record holder in the 50-metre freestyle. He also holds the European record for the 100-metre individual medley. Florent Manaudou is a French competitive swimmer, an Olympic champion of the 50-meter freestyle at the 2012 London Olympics, and the younger brother of Laure Manaudou, a 2004 Olympic gold medalist in swimming. He competes for the Energy Standard Swim Club in the International Swimming League.
Benjamin Proud is an English competitive swimmer, representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games, the FINA World Aquatics Championships and LEN European Aquatics Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. Proud specialises in sprint freestyle and butterfly races, specifically the 50-metre distance in both. He is the 2022 World Champion in the 50 metre freestyle, his second long course world title. He is the 2017 world champion in the 50-metre butterfly. Evgeny Mikhailovich Rylov is a Russian competitive swimmer and Olympic champion specializing in backstroke events. He won three gold medals at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, and a bronze medal at his senior international debut at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan. He also won a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest, both were in the 200 metre backstroke event.
