Jonathan de Souza Santos (born 19 May 1990) is a Paralympian athlete from Brazil competing mainly in F41 classification throwing events. [1]
De Souza Santos first represented his country at a Paralympic Games in 2008 in Beijing, entering the F40 shot put event. His best throw of 10.53 saw him finish outside the medals in fifth place. [2] Success was to follow at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where he won his first Paralympic medal; a bronze in the F40 discus throw, recording a distance of 40.49 metres. As well as his Paralympic success, de Souza Santos won a silver in the discus at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships in Christchurch. After the London Games the International Paralympic Committee redefined the F40 classification, splitting it into two categories for athletes of short stature, and de Souza Santos was reclassified as a F41 athlete. As an F41 competitor he has achieved further success winning gold at the 2013 World Championships in Lyon, along with a silver in the shot put. He added a further shot put bronze medal two years later in Doha. [2]
The 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships was held in Christchurch, New Zealand from January 21 to 30, 2011. Athletes with a disability competed, and the Championships was a qualifying event for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Following a medical review request in early 2017, she now competes in seated throws in the F32 classification. At the 2017 Australian Athletics Championships she threw 7.04m in the Women's Shot Put Secured event, bettering the Women's F32 shot put world record mark of 6.55m.
The 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships was the biggest track and field competition for athletes with a disability since the 2012 Summer Paralympics. It was held in Lyon, France, and lasted from 20 to 28 July. Around 1,100 athletes competed, from 94 different countries. The event was held in the Stade du Rhône located at the Parc de Parilly in Vénissieux, in Lyon Metropolis.
Claudiney Batista dos Santos is a Paralympian athlete from Brazil competing in category F57/T57 throwing events. He won a silver medal in the javelin throw at the 2012 Paralympics and a gold medal in the discus throw at the 2016 Rio Games.

Ivanka Koleva is a Paralympian track and field athlete from Bulgaria competing mainly in throwing events in the T57 classification. Koleva has represented Bulgaria at four Summer Paralympics from 2000 to 2012, winning gold in the shot put in the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney. She was also world champion in the discus in 1994, and competed once as a powerlifter in the 2008 Summer Paralympics at Beijing.
Senegal sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 to 18 September 2016. This was the fourth successive appearance for the nation in a Summer Paralympic Games after it debuted at the 2004 Summer Paralympics. Youssouphua Diouf, a javelin thrower, and shot put and discus thrower Daque Diop were the two athletes sent to Rio de Janeiro by Senegal. The delegation failed to win the country's first medal at the Summer Paralympics as its best performance in these Games was Diouf's seventh position in the men's javelin F56-57 event.
Wildan Nezar Al-Nukhailawi is a Paralympian athlete from Iraq competing in the F41 classification throwing events. He won a bronze medal in the javelin at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London and followed this four years later with a silver in the same event at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

At the 2016 Summer Paralympics, he won two medals: the gold medal in the men's javelin throw F34 event and the bronze medal in the men's shot put F34 event. In 2021, he won the silver medal in the men's javelin throw F34 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
Fathia Amaimia is a Tunisian Paralympic athlete of short stature. She competes in F41-classification throwing events. She represented Tunisia at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she won the bronze medal in the women's discus throw F41 event. She also competed in the women's shot put F41 event where she finished in 6th place.
Alessandro Rodrigo da Silva is a visually impaired Brazilian Paralympic athlete. He represented Brazil at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and he won the gold medal in the men's discus throw F11 event.
