Joseph Shu-Wei Lin (born June 21,1992) is a Taiwanese-American professional basketball player who plays for the New Taipei Kings of the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL).
Joseph Shu-Wei Lin was born in Palo Alto,California,to Gie-ming Lin and Shirley Lin (née Xinxin Wu) [1] on June 21,1992.
After graduating from Palo Alto High School,Lin did postgraduate year at the Berkshire School in Massachusetts. [2]
His brother Jeremy Lin is also a professional basketball player.
Lin attended Hamilton College and played as a point guard on the Division III team. [3] He was a respectable rotation guard that made the All-Conference Second Team in his senior year. [4]
Lin then signed with Taiwan's Taipei Fubon Braves in 2015,for the 2015 SBL season. [5] Lin was averaging 5 points and 2 assists and would get into foul trouble and not really play for the whole first half. Instead of giving up and giving in,Lin fought through the obstacles and proved that he belonged at the pro level. He was named the SBL 2015-2016 Rookie of the Year,became the first rookie ever to be named to the All-SBL first team. He averaged 12.1 points,4.1 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. [6] [7]
In the 2018–2019 season,Lin won his first ever SBL Championship. [8] Lin was second in scoring among local players (13.4 points per game) and fourth in assists (4.9 assists per game) during the regular season. He went on to average 14.3 points,2.8 rebounds,and 5.3 assists in the finals.
Upon the unveiling of the Braves as the tenth team to join the ABL in the 2019–2020 season,Lin expressed his excitement to join the league.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on August 7,2022,Lin expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to him by the Taipei Fubon Braves. Lin stated that he would not return for an 8th season.
On August 8,2022,Lin was traded to the New Taipei Kings. [9]

Lin has two older brothers,Jeremy and Joshua. Jeremy Lin,an NBA star,currently plays with him in the P. League+. [10] Dr. Joshua Lin studied dentistry at New York University. [11]

The Super Basketball League (超級籃球聯賽),often abbreviated as the SBL,is a men's semi-pro basketball league in Taiwan.
Yen Hsing-su,also known as Johnny Yen,is a Taiwanese basketball coach and former basketball player,singer and actor. Since 2017 he has been the assistant coach of the Chinese Taipei men's national basketball team. From 2015 to 2017 he coached the Fubon Braves in Taiwan's Super Basketball League.
The Taipei Fubon Braves are a professional basketball team that is owned by Fubon Sports &Entertainment,LLC.,one of the subsidiaries under Fubon Financial Holding Co.,Ltd. and currently plays in the Taiwanese P. League+. From 2014 to 2019,they played in the semi-pro Super Basketball League (SBL). They have also been part of the professional ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since the 2019–20 ABL season. In the summer of 2020,when P. League+ was founded,they joined the league as one of the four founding teams and secured a three-peat from the 2020-21 season to the 2022-23 season.
Jeremy Shu-How Lin is a Taiwanese-American professional basketball player for the New Taipei Kings of the Taiwan Professional Basketball League (TPBL). He unexpectedly led a winning turnaround with the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) during the 2011–12 season,sparking a cultural phenomenon known as "Linsanity". Lin was the first American of Chinese or Taiwanese descent to play in the NBA,and is one of the few Asian Americans to have played in the league. He is the first Asian American player to win an NBA championship,having done so with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
Lin Chih-chieh is a Taiwanese professional basketball player of Amis descent. During his career with the Taiwan Beer club of the Super Basketball League (SBL),Lin has won one Regular Season most valuable player (MVP) award,two back-to-back Championship Series MVP awards,and two scoring champion titles. The 2019–20 Super Basketball League was the seventeenth season of the Super Basketball League,which opened on December 14. The venues are distributed in Heping Basketball Stadium,Banqiao Stadium,Xinzhuang Stadium,Taoyuan Arena,Hsinchu Municipal Stadium,and Changhua County Stadium. This season,due to the withdrawal of the Dacin Tigers,the Taipei Fubon Braves to the ASEAN Basketball League,and the Golden Gate Winery Basketball Team was renamed the Kaohsiung Jeoutai Technology Basketball Team due to the change of sponsor to Jeoutai Technology. The participating teams are the Yulon Luxgen Dinos,Taoyuan Puyuan Architecture,Jeoutai Technology,Taiwan Beer and Bank of Taiwan. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the middle of the season,the star games in February and all events in the second half of the season were cancelled and closed games were adopted. Then,because the New Taipei City government closed the public venues on March 20,2020,SBL was originally scheduled to suspend the game for two weeks,and subsequently changed to the Haoyu International Basketball Training Center as the venue for the competition. Under the influence of the pandemic,SBL became one of the few sports leagues that could sustain their season. Therefore,the broadcaster provided a viewing channel for global fans,including Twitter and YouTube,and cooperated with FIBA. In the live broadcast,there were a maximum of 847,000 viewership records on Twitter in the championship series,and also received media reports from The New York Times and ESPN.
