Joshua Anthony Jackson (born January 20, 1998) is a former American football quarterback for the University of Maryland.
Jackson originally attended Huron High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan before transferring to Saline High School in Saline, Michigan. [1] As a senior, he passed for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns. He committed to Virginia Tech to play college football. [2]
After redshirting his first year at Virginia Tech in 2016, Jackson was named the starting quarterback in 2017. [3] [4] In his first career game, he passed for 235 yards and one touchdown and rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown. [5] Jackson fractured his left fibula in the third game of the 2018 season against ODU. [6] Because of this injury, Jackson would remain benched for the rest of the season. [7] On January 23, 2019, Josh Jackson announced his intention to transfer from Virginia Tech. During his time as starting quarterback at Virginia Tech, Jackson played in 16 games, throwing over 3,566 yards for 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. [7]
On February 18, 2019, Jackson announced his commitment to Maryland where he was granted immediate eligibility to play because of the NCAA's graduate transfer policy. Jackson was named starting quarterback for the 2019 Maryland Terrapins. [7]

Robert Wilton Speight III is a former American football quarterback. He played college football for the UCLA Bruins and Michigan Wolverines. In high school he was a 2014 Under Armour All-America Game selection and subsequently played college football for the Michigan Wolverines. Speight redshirted in 2014 and was the backup quarterback in 2015. As a redshirt sophomore in 2016, he started 12 games and earned third-team All-Big Ten honors. In 2017, Speight started four games before suffering a season-ending injury. In April 2018, Speight transferred to UCLA.

The 1954 VPI Gobblers football team represented Virginia Polytechnic Institute, now known as Virginia Tech, in the 1954 college football season. The team, coached by Frank Moseley, had an 8–0-1 record. The team was ranked 16th in the final Associated Press poll. Three major college football teams had perfect records in 1954, but the Gobblers only prevailed over one team with a winning record, fellow Southern Conference member Richmond, which was 5–4.
