The Josvainiai Forest (Lithuanian : Josvainių miškai) is a forest in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania, located 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the west from Kėdainiai and 4 km to the north from Josvainiai. It covers an area of 3,110 hectares (7,700 acres). It consists of smaller forests: Josvainiai Forest (proper), Medininkai Forest, and Giraitė. The rivers Smilga, Smilgaitis and Tranys drain the forest (the Nevėžis basin).
As of 2005, 52 % of the area was covered by birch, 24 % by spruce, 5 % by aspen, 8 % by ash, 3 % by oak, 3 % by black alder, 3 % by white alder, 2 % by pine tree groups. [1] The fauna of the forest consists of wild boar, roe deer, red fox, raccoon dog, pine marten, as well as hazel grouses, black storks, Eurasian woodcocks, common buzzards, sparrowhawks, northern goshawk, owls. [2] The forest is included in Dotnuva-Josvainiai Biosphere Polygon, [1] also there is the Smilga Landscape Sanctuary in the forest.
During the Soviet era, a rocket base (now in ruins) was in the forest near Keleriškiai. Barsukynė, Palainiškiai, Čiukiškiai and Stasiūnai, Grašva villages are inside the forest or on its edges.
Josvainiai is a small town in Kėdainiai district, central Lithuania. It is located on the Šušvė River 10 km southwest from Kėdainiai. The town comprises the Catholic All Saints Church, a gymnasium, a post office, a public library, a stud farm, and a culture house.

The Smilgaitis is a river of Kėdainiai district municipality, Kaunas County, central Lithuania. It flows for 34 kilometres (21 mi) and has a basin area of 76 km2 (29 sq mi). It is a right tributary of the river Smilga.
The Krakės-Dotnuva Forest is a forest in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania, located 1.5 km from Krakės and 4 km from Dotnuva. It covers 32.8 km2 area. The rivers Jaugila, Smilgaitis, Tranys, Girotakis drain the forest.

The Pernarava-Šaravai Forest is a forest in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania, located 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west off Josvainiai. Covering an area of 3,570 hectares, it consists of smaller forests: the Šaravai Forest, the Sviliai Forest, the Pernarava Forest, the Juodgiris. Most of the forest is drained by the Šušvė tributaries while the western part is drained by the Aluona and its tributary the Sakuona.

It is located next to Josvainiai town from its southern side, on the right bank of the Šušvė river, by the road Aristava-Kėdainiai-Cinkiškiai. There is Josvainiai forestry in Juodkaimiai.

It is located 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) from Josvainiai, on the edge of the Josvainiai Forest, nearby the Šušvė river. There is a pig farm. An ancient burial place is located next to the village.

It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from Josvainiai, nearby the Šušvė river, by the Josvainiai-Kampai II road. There are library, agriculture companies, farms. Former Jasnagurka manor is located next to Kunioniai.

It is located 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) from Josvainiai, by the Aluona river and its tributary the Sakuona, surrounded by the Pernarava-Šaravai Forest. There are library, forestry and former school in Skaistgiriai.

The Labūnava Forest is a forest in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania, located 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) south east from Labūnava. It covers an area of 1,420 hectares. It consists of smaller forests: the Labūnava Forest (proper), the Kruopiai Forest, the Servydgalis Forest. Most of the forest belongs to the Barupė basin.
The Lančiūnava-Šventybrastis Forest is a forest in Kėdainiai District Municipality, central Lithuania, located 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north east to Kėdainiai, around Lančiūnava and Šventybrastis villages. It covers an area of 5,890 hectares. It consists of smaller forests: the Lančiūnava Forest, the Lepšynė Forest, the Pavermenys Forest, the Šventybrastis Forest, the Apytalaukis Forest, the Stebuliai Forest. The forest belongs to the Nevėžis basin. The main rivers, draining the forest, are the Malčius, the Alkupis, the Suleva, the Šumera. The rivers' courses are mostly channelized. The relief is flat, marshy in places.
