The tenth Sarawak state election was held on Saturday,16 April 2011 after nomination for candidates on Wednesday,6 April 2011. The purpose of the election was to elect 71 representatives to the Sarawak State Assembly. The ninth state assembly was dissolved by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak,Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng on the advice of Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud on 21 March 2011. The previous state election in Sarawak was held in 2006.

He served as State Deputy Minister of Housing and Public Health,State Deputy Minister of Education,Science and Technological Research and State Deputy Minister in the Chief Minister's Department of Sarawak in the Barisan Nasional (BN) and GPS state administrations under Premiers Adenan Satem and Abang Johari from May 2016 to December 2021.

She has served as the State Minister of Women,Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development of Sarawak under Chief Ministers Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg,Adenan Satem and Abdul Taib Mahmud since September 2011 as well as and Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Dalat since September 2001.
The Alliance of Hope is a Malaysian political coalition consisting of centre-left political parties which was formed in 2015 to succeed the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. He was elected in 2009 Batang Air by-election after the incumbent died of heart attack and re-elected in 2011,2016 and 2021.

He served as State Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Sarawak in the GPS and Barisan Nasional (BN) state administrations under Premier Abang Johari and Minister Abdul Karim from May 2017 to January 2022. He has also served as Youth Chief of PRS since October 2016.

He served as State Deputy Minister of Tourism,Arts and Culture of Sarawak from August 2019 to December 2021. He has also served as Secretary-General of SUPP since September 2014.
The National Alliance is a political coalition composed of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party,Malaysian Islamic Party,Malaysian People's Movement Party and Sabah Progressive Party. This coalition was preceded by the Malaysian Party Alliance Association,also known as the Persatuan Perikatan Parti Malaysia (PPPM). It is the second largest political coalition in Dewan Rakyat with 74 seats after Pakatan Harapan (PH) with 81 seats;dubbed as the "Green Wave".
Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah bin Ali Hasan is a Malaysian politician who has served as Deputy Premier of Sarawak since May 2017 and Member of Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bukit Sari since April 1987. He currently also holds the portfolio of Second Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development and Minister for International Trade and Investment under the administration of Premier Abang Abdul Rahman Johari Abang Openg. Awang Tengah is a member of the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB),a component party of the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) coalition.
Abang Abdul Rahman Zohari Abang Openg formed the second Abang Johari cabinet after being invited by Abdul Taib Mahmud to begin a new government following the victory in the 18 December 2021 general election in the state of Sarawak,Malaysia. In order to be the Premier,Abang Johari was immediately sworn in before the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak on the same day that night. Prior to the election,Abang Johari led the first Abang Johari cabinet,a coalition government that consisted of members of the component parties of Gabungan Parti Sarawak.
The Anwar Ibrahim cabinet is the current federal cabinet of Malaysia,formed on 3 December 2022,nine days after Anwar Ibrahim took office as the 10th Prime Minister of Malaysia. The composition of the cabinet was announced by Anwar a day earlier on 2 December 2022,consisting of most of the political coalitions and parties represented in the 15th Parliament. Although Perikatan Nasional (PN) was also invited to join the government,it decided to decline the invitation and instead formed the opposition. The government is often referred to as "unity government".
