An Athletics competition was contested at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar from December 7 to December 12. Twenty-three events were contested for the men while 22 were on the slate for the women. Only the 3000 Meter Steeplechase was not contested for by the women. All track and field events were held at Khalifa International Stadium, and the racewalking and marathon took place at the Doha Corniche. A total of 530 athletes from 41 nations took part in the competition. Bhutan, Brunei, Indonesia and Myanmar were the only nations without a representative in the events.

Karate competed by men and women at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. Kata contested along with Kumite in seven weight classes for men and four for women. All competition took place at the Qatar Sports Club Indoor Hall on December 12 and 13. Each country was limited to having 5 male and 3 female athletes.

Rowing competed at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar. Men's and women's singles, doubles, and fours competition took place at the West Bay Lagoon from December 3 to December 7. Since Doha was scarce of water the distance had to be shortened from standard 2000 meters to 1000 metres.

Sailing was contested at the 2006 Asian Games from December 5 to December 13. Competition took place in various sailing disciplines at the Doha Sailing Club.

Shooting was contested at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar from December 2 to December 8, 2006. Men's and women's competitions were held in pistol, rifle, running target, and shotgun. All competition took place at the Lusail Shooting Range.

2013 Asian Youth Games

The 2013 Asian Youth Games or AYG 2013, officially the 2nd Asian Youth Games and commonly as Nanjing 2013, were held in Nanjing, China from August 16–24, 2013. Just like the inaugural edition, the games served as a dress-rehearsal for the upcoming 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, which was also held in the same city.

2013 Asian Judo Championships Judo competition

The 2013 Asian Judo Championships were the 20th edition of the Asian Judo Championships, and were held in Bangkok, Thailand from April 19 to April 21, 2013.

Judo at the 2014 Asian Games was held at the Dowon Gymnasium in Incheon, South Korea between 20 and 23 September 2014.

2015 Asian Judo Championships Judo competition

The 2015 Asian Judo Championships were the 21st edition of the Asian Judo Championships, and were held in Kuwait City, Kuwait from May 13 to May 15, 2015.

Archery at the 2018 Asian Games was held between 21 and 28 August 2018 at the Gelora Bung Karno Archery Field in Jakarta, Indonesia, and consisted of eight events.

Judo at the 2018 Asian Games was held at the Jakarta Convention Center Plenary Hall, Jakarta, Indonesia, from 29 August to 1 September 2018.
