The show stars British actress Julie Andrews (best known as the star of The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins ), who is joined by her assistant Gus (Giullian Yao Gioiello) [5] [6] and "The Greenies", a cast of original puppets built by The Jim Henson Company. [7]

The episodes include elements of the performing arts, such as an original song. [1] Each episode features a guest star who engages the puppets in a specific area of the performing arts. Guest stars include Alec Baldwin, Sara Bareilles, Joshua Bell, Tituss Burgess, Carol Burnett, Chris Colfer, Robert Fairchild, Josh Groban, Bill Irwin, Ellie Kemper, Idina Menzel, Tiler Peck, David Hyde Pierce, Stomp, Mary Scheer, Rachel Tucker and the Story Pirates. It was aired live twice daily as a local series in Washington, D.C., on WRC-TV in black and white, and later color, on weeknights from May 9, 1955, to December 15, 1961. However, most of the original episodes were never recorded, and are considered lost. Ask the StoryBots is an American live-action/animated preschool children's television series based on the characters from the StoryBots educational website and videos. It premiered exclusively on Netflix on August 12, 2016. Originally created and produced by JibJab Bros. Studios, the StoryBots media franchise was fully acquired by Netflix in May 2019. The show targets young children aged 1–8. In its first season, the series was nominated for an Annie Awards, was a finalist for a Peabody Award, was nominated in the International category at the British Academy Children's Awards and received six nominations for the Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Preschool Children's Animated Program. The series premiered on August 30, 2019, to critical acclaim. In September 2020, it was announced that the series had been cancelled after one season.

The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell is an American television sitcom created by and starring Christine McConnell. It premiered on Netflix on October 12, 2018. The series consists of six episodes and was produced by Wilshire Studios and Henson Alternative, an arm of The Jim Henson Company. In April 2019, the series was canceled after one season.

<i>Donkey Hodie</i> (TV series) American preschool television series

Donkey Hodie is an American puppet live action musical preschool television series created by David and Adam Rudman for PBS Kids, and is aimed at preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Inspired by characters created by Fred Rogers, the series premiered May 3, 2021, and is the second spinoff of Rogers' television series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood after Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. The first full episode was initially set to premiere in winter 2021 on PBS Kids in the United States, but it was pushed back to May 3 of the same year. Sometimes, television airings are followed up by a series of shorts; "Super Why's Comic Book Adventures", "Tiny Time Travel", "Through the Woods", "What Can You Become?", and "Elinor Wonders Why: That's So Interesting!".
