Julie's Greenroom is an American educational pre-school television series that was released on Netflix on March 17, 2017. [1] [2]
The show stars British actress Julie Andrews (best known as the star of The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins ), who is joined by her assistant Gus (Giullian Yao Gioiello) [5] [6] and "The Greenies", a cast of original puppets built by The Jim Henson Company. [7]
The episodes include elements of the performing arts, such as an original song. [1] Each episode features a guest star who engages the puppets in a specific area of the performing arts. Sam and Friends is an American live-action and puppet sketch comedy television series and a lead-in to The Tonight Show created by puppeteer Jim Henson and his eventual wife Jane Nebel. It was aired live twice daily as a local series in Washington, D.C., on WRC-TV in black and white, and later color, on weeknights from May 9, 1955, to December 15, 1961. Oobi is an American children's television series produced by Little Airplane Productions for the Noggin channel. The show's concept is based on a training method used by puppeteers, in which they use their hands and a pair of glass eyes instead of a full puppet. The main character is a bare hand puppet named Oobi. The first season was a series of two-minute shorts. For its second and third seasons, it became a long-form series, with episodes lasting 13 minutes each. Donkey Hodie is an American puppet live action musical preschool television series created by David and Adam Rudman for PBS Kids, and is aimed at preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Inspired by characters created by Fred Rogers, the series premiered May 3, 2021, and is the second spinoff of Rogers' television series Mister Rogers' Neighborhood after Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood. The first full episode was initially set to premiere in winter 2021 on PBS Kids in the United States, but it was pushed back to May 3 of the same year.
