Plot

Tara Agarwal, a famous news anchor interviews a prostitute after her constant pleas as the latter reveals that a famous businessman wants to marry her. Tara jokingly shuns the idea but hears the prostitute's story. Julie, a simple Goan girl, lives with her father who runs a bakery shop. Julie is in a relationship with Neil and the latter wants to become a big-shot businessman, to which Julie is not content, as she can live with a meager income. She learns that Neil has gone to Mangalore for a business deal and this makes Julie happy as she thinks Neil is now a responsible man. However, her happiness is short lived as Neil becomes a successful businessman in Goa and gets engaged to Braganza's daughter as he is now partnered with Braganza as his business partner and son-in-law. Heartbroken Julie then leaves for Mumbai for a job with the help of her best friend Dinky.

After arriving in Mumbai, Julie is appointed by Shah, who is a builder and gets Julie as personal assistant. This catches the eye of Rohan, who is a design consultant, who harbors a liking for Julie and both become good friends and later as romantic interests of each other. Julie gets a makeover by her friend Dinky and in a parlour, she meets Delnaaz, who is a pimp. Rohan works for Wadhwa, a businessman who is planning to make big project and after meeting Julie in the party, he asks Rohan to send Julie for the discussion of his projects. Wadhwa tries to persuade Julie to sleep with him so that he can approve the contract for Rohan, however Julie runs away and complaints about his mannerisms and his perversion. Rohan jokes this off and reveals in cold blood, that Julie is a pawn to get the contract from Wadhwa as he was the one who sent her to Wadhwa in exchange for his contract. Angered and heartbroken Julie leaves Rohan's house and meets Delnaaz. Delnaaz explains Julie that men just wants to sleep with women in any manner, to which Julie starts to question her identity. After a thought, she decides to become a prostitute with the help of Delnaaz.

The prostitute is none other than Julie, who explains her version of the story to Tara and the latter apologizes Julie for her staunch demeanor and promises Julie that her interview will be shot and aired in all due respect. Julie meets a businessman Mihir Shandilya and the latter is swayed by her beauty. Mihir takes a liking for Julie and he wants to know more about Julie and soon they become friends. Julie meets Neil in one hotel after she attends one of his clients and the former is shocked to see Julie in such state. Julie belittles Neil as he chose an easy way for his success and Julie was the one who got sold, to which puts Neil in an embarrassing state and he runs away, in a guilt that he ruined her life. Julie on the other hand, is not happy as she knows that Mihir does not know about her profession and tries to distance from him and wants to be just friends. However Mihir starts to fall in love with Julie and he takes her to his parents. Mihir's parents are overjoyed as the latter is in love and wants to marry Julie. Julie despite every happiness given by Mihir, still does not reciprocate her feelings due to her past. One day Mihir confesses that he wants to marry Julie, which puts her into a bigger dilemma as she does not want to tarnish Mihir and his family's image. She decides to tell her story to media, where her confession that the businessman who is none other than Mihir Shandilya wants to marry her becomes the biggest headlines in the news.

Tara tries to request her seniors that Julie wants to confess her profession and her past in front of the world, to which her boss, who is skeptical, approves for the interview. Julie then in the media confesses about her profession and past that she just wanted love and all she got was deception. Mihir overhears this as he is the channel's office and intervenes in the show and explains the audience that prostitutes are created by men and this is the biggest crime committed in the name of humanity. Mihir, after hearing all the confession about Julie is happy that Julie had dared to speak about her in the media and despite knowing her struggles and her predicament, proposes to marriage. Mihir also feels proud that he had never tarnished his family's image and his family also feels proud of accepting Julie. The film ends by Julie's acceptance of Mihir's proposal to marriage, where Neil is shown devastated and Rohan is also shown as feeling guilty. Both Mihir and Julie gets married, thus getting her a new fresh start of her life with Mihir.
