Juliet Marillier (born in 1948) [1] is a New Zealand-born writer of fantasy, focusing predominantly on historical fantasy. [2]
Juliet Marillier was educated at the University of Otago, where she graduated with a BA in languages and a Bachelor of Music (honours). [3] Marillier taught music at the high school and university levels and has been a choral conductor and opera singer. [4]
Marillier lives in the Swan Valley, Western Australia (2014). [3] She belongs to the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. [5]
