Justin Lamoureux (born August 26, 1976 in Red Bank, New Jersey) is a Canadian snowboarder, specializing in the halfpipe event. [1]

Lamoureux made his World Cup debut in December 1997 at Whistler, Canada. His first, and to date, only, World Cup podium came in December 2002 when he won bronze in Stoneham. [2]

Lamoureux's best World Cup season thus far came in 2010, when he placed 1st overall in the halfpipe standings. He has competed at four FIS Snowboarding World Championships, including winning a silver medal in the halfpipe in 2005. [2]

Lamoureux competed at the 2006 Winter Olympics, the halfpipe. He finished 41st in the first round and 15th in the second, leaving him 21st overall, and not advancing to the final. [3] In 2010, Lamoureaux had laser vision correction with LASIK MD. [4]

Lamoureaux was also selected as a member of the Canadian team for the 2010 Winter Olympics. [5]

On January 25, 2019, at the Winter X Games in Aspen, she announced her retirement from the sport.

Hannah Teter is an American snowboarder. She is an Olympic champion, having won the gold medal in halfpipe at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games in Torino, Italy and silver at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver. She also won bronze at the 2005 FIS World Championships at Whistler, British Columbia, and has six World Cup victories in her career. In January 2010, Teter was named to the US Team for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She won the silver medal in women's halfpipe at the Vancouver Games. Teter came in fourth at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

Maëlle Ricker Canadian snowboarder

Maëlle Danica Ricker is a Canadian retired snowboarder, who specialised in snowboard cross. She won an Olympic gold medal in the snowboard cross event at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, to become the first Canadian woman to win a gold medal on home soil at the Olympics. She is also the 2013 World Champion and two-time Winter X Games Champion.

Michael Michalchuk is a Canadian professional snowboarder based in Pemberton, British Columbia. Michalchuk has competed in two Winter Olympic Games in 1998 and 2002, along with several world cups but has been often restricted by injury. He is also notable for being one of the first known snowboarders to complete a successful double back flip in a halfpipe competition, has several snowboarding moves named after him and has at times been regarded as arguably the most spectacular, daring half-pipe rider in Pemberton.
