The fifth season of the South Korean reality television competition show K-pop Star premiered on SBS on November 22, 2015, airing Sunday evenings at 6:10 pm KST as part of the Good Sunday lineup. [1] Yang Hyun-suk, Park Jin-young, and You Hee-yeol returned as judges. The contest began receiving applications in May, with preliminary auditions taking place in Seoul and throughout South Korea, as well as the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia until September 2014. [2] The season ended on April 10, 2016, with Lee Soo-jung crowned as winner and choosing to sign with Antenna Music. [3]

Good Sunday is a South Korean reality-variety show shown on the SBS network, which competes directly against MBC's Sunday Night and KBS2's Happy Sunday line-up. The program has suffered from the competition of Happy Sunday and Sunday Night but reached its way to #1 on the Top 20 Charts every Sunday. Good Sunday consists of a line-up of "corner programs", or segments, which air within the program. The program ended on March 19, 2017, opting for individual programs divided into two parts for inserting commercials.
Superstar K2 is a South Korean television show on Mnet. Superstar K2 is season two of the Superstar competition series in which singers audition to get on the show. Superstar K5 is the fifth current season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 9 August 2013 on M.net and will be aired every Friday night at 11PM KST. On July 11, 2013, it was confirmed that Lee Seung-chul and Yoon Jong-shin would be returning to join the judges member panel, the latter having been missing from the previous season. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a unit girl group by choosing members from a pool of 101 trainees from 46 entertainment companies as well as the group's concept, debut song, and group name. Produced by CJ ENM and Signal Entertainment Group for Mnet, the show had the second-largest budget of all shows broadcast by the latter at about four billion won.

Mix Nine was a South Korean survival reality show broadcast on JTBC. In the show, YG Entertainment founder and producer Yang Hyun-suk traveled to music agencies across Korea to find up-and-coming K-pop stars. Throughout the episodes, contestants were progressively eliminated, culminating in a competition between a team of the final nine boys and one of the final nine girls. The winning team was to debut as idols, but their debut was ultimately cancelled following contract disputes between YG Entertainment and the contestants' respective agencies.

Loud is a 2021 South Korean boy group survival reality show organised by JYP Entertainment and P Nation. It was a collaboration between Psy and J.Y. Park to form 2 boy groups: one under JYP Entertainment and another one under P Nation. The program involved 75 contestants from different countries with artistic talents competing for a spot in one of the 2 groups. The program premiered on June 5, 2021, and was broadcast every Saturday at 9 PM KST on SBS. During the finale on September 11, 2 groups were formed, with both groups' names to be announced.
