The fourth season of the South Korean reality television competition show K-pop Star premiered on SBS on November 23, 2014, airing Sunday evenings at 4:50 pm KST as part of the Good Sunday lineup. [2] Yang Hyun-suk, Park Jin-young, and You Hee-yeol returned as judges. The contest began receiving applications in June, with preliminary auditions taking place in Seoul and throughout South Korea, as well as the United States, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong until September 2014. [3] The season ended on April 12, 2015, with Katie Kim crowned as winner and choosing to sign with YG Entertainment. [4]
A special episode containing behind the scenes footage and interviews aired the following week. The show decided to change its rule and give the two runners-up, Jung Seung-hwan and Lee Jin-ah, the chance to choose the company they want to join as well. Both contestants chose Antenna Music and were accepted. [5] On May 14, Lily M revealed that she has signed an exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment. [6]

Good Sunday is a South Korean reality-variety show shown on the SBS network, which competes directly against MBC's Sunday Night and KBS2's Happy Sunday line-up. The program has suffered from the competition of Happy Sunday and Sunday Night but reached its way to #1 on the Top 20 Charts every Sunday. Good Sunday consists of a line-up of "corner programs", or segments, which air within the program. The program ended on March 19, 2017, opting for individual programs divided into two parts for inserting commercials.
Superstar K2 is a South Korean television show on Mnet. Superstar K2 is season two of the Superstar competition series in which singers audition to get on the show. Each week, the singers perform a song and are eliminated based on the three judges' perception and audience voting. The winner of Superstar K2 received 200 million won and a Samsung QM5 car.
Survival Audition K-pop Star is a South Korean reality TV competition series where three entertainment/talent agencies in South Korea hold worldwide auditions to find the next potential K-Pop stars. Preliminary auditions are held around the world in Asia, North America, South America, Europe, and Australia. The final winner debuts with the company of his or her choice, along with a cash prize of three hundred million won, two brand new vehicles, opportunities to become commercial models and casting in dramas, and many more benefits.
Michelle Lee is a South Korean singer. After successfully auditioning for K-pop Star Season 1 in 2011, she was eventually signed to YG Entertainment as part of a new girl group called SuPearls. However, after two years of training, the group was suddenly disbanded before they could debut and Lee's contract was nullified.

Superstar K5 is the fifth current season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 9 August 2013 on M.net and will be aired every Friday night at 11PM KST. On July 11, 2013, it was confirmed that Lee Seung-chul and Yoon Jong-shin would be returning to join the judges member panel, the latter having been missing from the previous season. This season also saw the addition of Lee Ha-neul of DJ DOC as a judge following the departure of Yoon Mi-rae. This season saw over 1,982,661 applicants across the multiple avenues of entry for the show.

Lee Seung-hoon, also known by the mononym Hoony, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, choreographer and member of Winner under YG Entertainment. The band debuted on August 17, 2014 with the full-length album entittled 2014 S/S. He is also well known for his appearance in the first installation of K-pop Star (2011–2012).
Sixteen is a 2015 reality girl group survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet. The show pitted sixteen trainees against one another to secure a spot in the girl group Twice. Sixteen contestants were assessed not just by their singing and dancing abilities but also their charisma and personality. The show ran from May 5 to July 7 on Mnet for ten episodes.

Stray Kids is a 2017 reality show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet. It is a male idol debut project with the concept of winning the "trainees versus JYP" survival. It was broadcast on Mnet from October 17 to December 19, 2017, on Tuesdays at 23:00 (KST) timeslot for ten episodes.
Mix Nine was a South Korean survival reality show broadcast on JTBC. In the show, YG Entertainment founder and producer Yang Hyun-suk traveled to music agencies across Korea to find up-and-coming K-pop stars. Throughout the episodes, contestants were progressively eliminated, culminating in a competition between a team of the final nine boys and one of the final nine girls. The winning team was to debut as idols, but their debut was ultimately cancelled following contract disputes between YG Entertainment and the contestants' respective agencies.
Loud is a 2021 South Korean boy group survival reality show organised by JYP Entertainment and P Nation. It was a collaboration between Psy and J.Y. Park to form 2 boy groups: one under JYP Entertainment and another one under P Nation. The program involved 75 contestants from different countries with artistic talents competing for a spot in one of the 2 groups. The program premiered on June 5, 2021, and was broadcast every Saturday at 9 PM KST on SBS. During the finale on September 11, 2 groups were formed, with both groups' names to be announced.
