The fourth season of the South Korean reality television competition show K-pop Star premiered on SBS on November 23, 2014, airing Sunday evenings at 4:50 pm KST as part of the Good Sunday lineup. [2] Yang Hyun-suk, Park Jin-young, and You Hee-yeol returned as judges. The contest began receiving applications in June, with preliminary auditions taking place in Seoul and throughout South Korea, as well as the United States, Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong until September 2014. [3] The season ended on April 12, 2015, with Katie Kim crowned as winner and choosing to sign with YG Entertainment. [4]

A special episode containing behind the scenes footage and interviews aired the following week. The show decided to change its rule and give the two runners-up, Jung Seung-hwan and Lee Jin-ah, the chance to choose the company they want to join as well. Both contestants chose Antenna Music and were accepted. [5] On May 14, Lily M revealed that she has signed an exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment. [6]

Good Sunday is a South Korean reality-variety show shown on the SBS network, which competes directly against MBC's Sunday Night and KBS2's Happy Sunday line-up. The final winner debuts with the company of his or her choice, along with a cash prize of three hundred million won, two brand new vehicles, opportunities to become commercial models and casting in dramas, and many more benefits.

Michelle Lee (singer) South Korean singer (born 1991)

Michelle Lee is a South Korean singer. After successfully auditioning for K-pop Star Season 1 in 2011, she was eventually signed to YG Entertainment as part of a new girl group called SuPearls. However, after two years of training, the group was suddenly disbanded before they could debut and Lee's contract was nullified.

The second season of the South Korean reality television competition show K-pop Star premiered on SBS on November 18, 2012, airing Sunday evenings at 4:55 pm KST as part of the Good Sunday lineup. Yoon Do-hyun returned as host and narrator, and Boom returned as live host. Yang Hyun-suk, Park Jin-young, and BoA returned as judges. The season ended on April 6, 2013, with Akdong Musician crowned as winner and chose to sign with YG Entertainment.

Superstar K5 is the fifth current season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 9 August 2013 on M.net and will be aired every Friday night at 11PM KST. On July 11, 2013, it was confirmed that Lee Seung-chul and Yoon Jong-shin would be returning to join the judges member panel, the latter having been missing from the previous season. This season also saw the addition of Lee Ha-neul of DJ DOC as a judge following the departure of Yoon Mi-rae. The third season of the South Korean reality television competition show K-pop Star premiered on SBS on November 24, 2013, airing Sunday evenings at 4:55 pm KST as part of the Good Sunday lineup. Lee Seung-hoon, also known by the mononym Hoony, is a South Korean rapper, singer-songwriter, choreographer and member of Winner under YG Entertainment. The band debuted on August 17, 2014 with the full-length album entittled 2014 S/S. He is also well known for his appearance in the first installation of K-pop Star (2011–2012).

<i>Sixteen</i> (TV series) Reality girl group survival show

Sixteen is a 2015 reality girl group survival show created by JYP Entertainment and Mnet. The show pitted sixteen trainees against one another to secure a spot in the girl group Twice. Sixteen contestants were assessed not just by their singing and dancing abilities but also their charisma and personality. The show ran from May 5 to July 7 on Mnet for ten episodes.

<i>American Idol</i> (season 15) Season of television series

The fifteenth season of American Idol, also branded as American Idol: The Farewell Season, premiered on the Fox television network on January 6, 2016. Ryan Seacrest continued as the show's host, while Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. returned as judges. Scott Borchetta also returned as the in-house mentor. <i>Mix Nine</i> Reality survival show

Mix Nine was a South Korean survival reality show broadcast on JTBC. In the show, YG Entertainment founder and producer Yang Hyun-suk traveled to music agencies across Korea to find up-and-coming K-pop stars. Throughout the episodes, contestants were progressively eliminated, culminating in a competition between a team of the final nine boys and one of the final nine girls. The winning team was to debut as idols, but their debut was ultimately cancelled following contract disputes between YG Entertainment and the contestants' respective agencies.

<i>Loud</i> (South Korean TV series) 2021 South Korean television series

Loud is a 2021 South Korean boy group survival reality show organised by JYP Entertainment and P Nation. It was a collaboration between Psy and J.Y. Park to form 2 boy groups: one under JYP Entertainment and another one under P Nation. The program involved 75 contestants from different countries with artistic talents competing for a spot in one of the 2 groups. The program premiered on June 5, 2021, and was broadcast every Saturday at 9 PM KST on SBS. During the finale on September 11, 2 groups were formed, with both groups' names to be announced.
