K. S. Ashoka known as Ashoka is an Indian director and writer. He became popular after his debut movie 6-5=2 . It was the first found footage movie in Kannada. [1] With the success of 6-5=2 , the movie was remade in Hindi with same title and released in 2014 by different director. In Telugu, it was dubbed and released as Chitram Kadu Nizam. [2] K S Ashoka directed a second movie, Dia , which was critically acclaimed and commercially successful.
With an engineering degree from Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) in Mysuru, Ashoka was working at Citi Bank India where he found his colleague D Krishna Chaitanya as his first movie producer. Following the success of 6-5=2 they again collaborated to work together for the next movie Dia . [3]

Khaidi (transl. Prisoner) is a 1983 Indian Telugu-language action film directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy. The film stars Chiranjeevi and Madhavi. It is loosely based on the 1982 American film First Blood. Released on 28 October 1983, the film was a massive commercial success and Chiranjeevi rose to stardom. In 1984, it was remade in Hindi as Qaidi, and in Kannada under the same title, with Madhavi reprising her role both times.

Maro Charitra is a 1978 Indian Telugu-language romantic tragedy film written and directed by K. Balachander. It stars Kamal Haasan and Saritha in the lead with Madhavi appearing in prominent roles. The film deals with cross-cultural romance between a Tamil man and a young Telugu woman. Upon release, it was commercially successful and remains a cult classic. Owing to its success in Andhra Pradesh, the film was released in the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka without being dubbed into the respective languages. It held the record of being the longest-running Telugu film at theatres in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Across theatres it had an uninterrupted theatrical run of 2+1⁄2 years in Bangalore. Neram (transl. 'Time') is a 2013 Indian black comedy thriller film written, directed and edited by Alphonse Puthren in his directorial debut. It is simultaneously made in Malayalam and Tamil languages. It is an extended version of the short film of the same name, which he directed in 2009. It stars Nivin Pauly, Nazriya Nazim and Bobby Simha in both versions. Supporting roles were played by Manoj K. Jayan, Shammi Thilakan, Lalu Alex, and Willson Joseph in Malayalam version, while Nassar, Thambi Ramiah, John Vijay and Shabareesh Varma portrayed the characters in Tamil version.
Jeethu Joseph is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who predominantly works in Malayalam cinema. He has also worked in a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. Priyadarshan is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter. The film stars Kushee Ravi, Pruthvi Ambaar and Dheekshith Shetty, with a score by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. It was released in India on 7 February 2020. The film was a box office success and was re-released in 2021.

Dear Dia is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by K S Ashoka. A remake of his Kannada film Dia (2020), the film stars Mihika Kushwaha, Pruthvi Ambaar, and Ujjwal Sharma. Hindi version of Dia was produced by Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha. Dear Dia trailer was released on 10 May and film was released on 10 June 2022. Unlike the original, Hindi remake went unnoticed due to poor buzz and promotions.
