KRC Motors or more simply KRC is an Italian manufacturer of electric scooters, based in Marcianise. [1]

Company

KRC(keep road clean)Motors was born in Marcianise, Caserta (Campania) from the younger generation of the Rampini family. [2]

The headquarters are in the industrial area of the city [3] and here electric scooters are developed, assembled and tested [4] in the company surface that measures over 15,000 meters. [2]

Technology

The technology present on all vehicles includes air or liquid cooling, lithium batteries, brushless engines, produced by the company, with the possibility of rapid recharging (30 minutes) [4] with a normal electrical outlet. [5]

The scooters are equipped with various technologies concerning brakes, chassis, etc. [4] The most important part however, in addition to the engine, is the battery pack which is composed of 24 solid 72Vdc cells. The control units are dedicated to monitoring the battery pack,

consequently to the balancing the performance and duration of the individual lithium cells. [6]

A rechargeable battery, storage battery, or secondary cell, is a type of electrical battery which can be charged, discharged into a load, and recharged many times, as opposed to a disposable or primary battery, which is supplied fully charged and discarded after use. It is composed of one or more electrochemical cells. The term "accumulator" is used as it accumulates and stores energy through a reversible electrochemical reaction. Rechargeable batteries are produced in many different shapes and sizes, ranging from button cells to megawatt systems connected to stabilize an electrical distribution network. Hyundai Blue-Will

The Hyundai Blue-Will is a plug-in petrol-electric hybrid concept compact car designed by the South Korean car manufacturer Hyundai Motor Company. The vehicle was debuted at the 2009 Seoul Motor Show in South Korea.

Environmental aspects of the electric car

Electric cars (EVs) have several environmental benefits compared to conventional internal combustion engine cars. They have lower operating and maintenance costs, produce little or no local air pollution, reduce dependence on petroleum and also have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Electric motors are significantly more efficient than internal combustion engines and thus, even accounting for distribution losses, less energy is required to operate an EV. Producing batteries for electric cars requires additional resources and energy, so they may have a larger environmental footprint when new. The UK government estimates two thirds of car particulate pollution arises from tire, brake and road dust. Since electric cars are heavier on average, they could produce more of this type of pollution than traditional vehicles. However, EVs' use of regenerative braking means that fewer particles are emitted by traditional braking. Lastly, electric cars are mechanically much simpler and are predicted to have a longer useful life, which can be beneficial for the environment since fewer cars are needed overall.

Askoll

Askoll EVA S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of two-wheeled electric vehicles for urban mobility. The Dueville based company produces e-bikes, electric scooters, components and kits. Askoll EVA is a subsidiary of Askoll Group, an Italian corporation specialized in manufacturing electric motors and drain pumps for washing machines and other domestic appliances.
