KTV (formerly as Komedi TV) is an Indonesian local television station that broadcasts terrestrially from Jakarta, Indonesia. KTV was founded by Eko Hendro Purnomo (Eko Patrio) with named KOmedi TV. [1] On June 28, 2015, this television station officially separated from the Kompas TV's network. This television station can be enjoyed via 26 UHF (digital) as well as subscription television K-Vision (until early 2020). [2] KTV broadcast hours are 20 hours a day from 04.00 to 00.00 WIB.
KTV was founded in 2008 under the name Komedi TV by Eko Hendro Purnomo and most of the shares are owned by Komando Group. [3] [4] Initially, this television station focused solely on comedy. However, after changing its name and logo to KTV, it shifted its focus to music and news. [5] [6]
Since August 1, 2011, this television station has been affiliated with Kompas TV and broadcasts Kompas TV programs for 19 hours daily from 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. WIB. The KOmando group managed KTV until August 31, 2011. [7]
On June 28, 2015, this television station was no longer affiliated with Kompas TV because Kompas TV moved its channel to the 25 UHF or 503.25 MHz frequency and did not broadcast Kompas TV programs, but still broadcasting Copa América with Kompas TV. With these changes, current TV programs are in the form of reference and lifestyle programs. [8]
In 2016, KTV can be viewed via satellite Palapa D with a frequency of 3980/V/31000, [9] But in 2018, the frequency changed to 3819/V/1000. Since then, KTV has been released as a subscription television broadcaster for K-Vision.
