Kadyn Wittman is an American politician. She has served as a Democratic member of the South Dakota House of Representatives since 2023 from District 15. [1] Wittman serves as one of eleven Democratic members of the South Dakota Legislature.
Prior to running for office,Wittman worked at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House and served as the Director of Development for Sioux Falls Family YMCA. [2]
In 2022,Wittman ran for one of two South Dakota House of Representatives seats in District 15. She ran against incumbent and fellow Democrat,Linda Duba,and Republicans Joni Tschetter and Matt Rosburg. [3] On November 8,2022,she won the election along with Linda Duba. In 2024,she was elected with Eric Muckey. [4]
In 2024,Wittman was selected for the Future Caucus Innovation Fellowship as part of the Criminal Justice cohort,a bipartisan coalition of Gen Z and millennial lawmakers interested in creating policies to improve the criminal justice system. [5] [6]
