The Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peetha was established as a spiritual and cultural center for Kuruba Gowdas in the state of Karnataka, India. The Mahasamsthana was presided over by Shri Beerendra Keshava Tarakananda Puri Swamiji for thirteen years; he wanted to start schools for children of the rural Halumatha community in Kaginele and beyond.
Under Shri Beerendra Swamiji there were four Swamijis:
1.Shri Niranjanananda Puri Swamiji, Kaginele, Matha Haveri District, Belludi Matha, Davanagere District.
2.Shri Siddaramananda Swamiji, Tinthani Bridge Matha, Devadurga Talluka, Raichur District, Karnataka.
3.Shri Eshwarananda Puri Swamiji, Hosadurga Matha, Chitradurga District.
4.Shri Shivanananda Puri Swamiji, KR Nagara, Mysore District.
After Shri Beerendra Swamiji attained moksha, Shri Niranjanananda puri Swamiji took over as president of Kanaka Guru Peeta, on rotational basis, for five years. He has further developed Kaginel Mutt by providing various facilities. Neeranjanda Swamiji has also built the Belludi Kaginele Shakha Mutt in Harihar Taluka, Davanagere District to help poor people from Harihar surrounding areas.
Sri Siddaramananda Swamiji running primary to degree colleges. And also celebrate Halumatha Samskruti Vybhava every year on January 12th,13th, and 14th. Many books were published under Siddaramananda Swamiji to shine a light on Halumatha culture. Original drums, both wooden and leather, are manufactured in Tinthani Math. In 2004, Shri Swamiji organized a function attended by a variety of people from all over Karnataka, where he shared his vision to develop Kaginele as a Maha Samstana.
Under Siddaramananda Swamiji, four branches of the center are running in the Koppala, Kustagi, Basava Kalyana, and Hosakote taluks.
Kanaka Dasa (1509–1606) was a Haridasa saint and philosopher of Dvaita Vedanta, also known as Daasashreshta Kanakadasa from present-day Karnataka, India. He was a follower of Madhvacharya's Dvaita philosophy and a disciple of Vyasatirtha. He was a composer of Carnatic music, poet, reformer and musician. He is known for his keertanas and ugabhoga, and his compositions in the Kannada language for Carnatic music. Like other Haridasas, he used simple Kannada and native metrical forms for his compositions.
Beerendra Keshava Tarakananda Puri is the first pontiff of the Kaginele Kanaka Guru Peetha, the cultural and spiritual centre of Kuruba Gowdas of Karnataka, India. He is said to have started many educational institutions and schools to help the rural poor acquire education.
Kaginele, also known as Kaginelli, is a village in the Byadagi taluk of Haveri district in the Indian state of Karnataka. In August 2004, the Karnataka State Government formed the Kaginele Development Authority (KDA) to protect all the monuments and documents related to Kanaka Dasa.
Kashi Math is a matha (monastery) and a spiritual organisation followed by the Madhva section of Gaud Saraswat Brahmins, who are also referred as Madhwa Saraswat Brahmins or Vaishnava Saraswat Brahmins. It dates back to the 16th century. With its headquarters in Brahma Ghat, Varanasi. Kashi Math has followers all over the Konkan belt, prominently in Mumbai, Goa, Udupi, Mangalore, Kochi and other parts of Karnataka and Kerala.
Kaniyooru, also spelled Kaniyuru, is a village in Kadaba taluk in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka state, India. It houses one of the Ashta Mathas established by Madhvacharya, the Dvaita philosopher. The village is located on Mangalore to Bangalore broadguage railway line. There is a railway station at Kaniyooru. The railway station of Kaniyooru can be accessed by passenger trains running between Mangaluru and Subramanya road stations. The state highway 100 (SH-100) connecting Puttur to Kukke Subramanya passes through this village. There are frequent buses from Puttur to Kaniyooru to Kukke subhramanya.
Paryaya is a religious ritual which takes place every alternate year in Sri Krishna Matha of Udupi. The puja and administration of Krishna Matha is distributed among the Swamijis of Ashta Matha's established by Dvaita philosopher Sri Madhvacharya. Each swamiji of every matha gets chance to perform puja to Udupi Sri Krishna by rotation for a period of two years.
Bannanje Govindacharya was an Indian philosopher and Sanskrit scholar versed in Veda Bhashya, Upanishad Bhashya, Mahabharata, Puranas and Ramayana. He wrote Bhashyas (commentaries) on Veda Suktas, Upanishads, Shata Rudriya, Brahma Sutra Bhashya, Gita Bhashya and was an orator. He was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009.
Udupi Shri Krishna Temple is a well-known historic Hindu temple dedicated to Krishna and Dvaita Matha located in the city of Udupi in Karnataka, India. Shree Samsthana Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math or Partagali Math is the first Gaud Saraswat Mathas of the Dvaita order, a system established by Jagadguru Madhvacharya in the 13th century AD. This matha also called Partagali Jivottama and is headquartered in Partagali, a small town in South Goa, on the banks of the river Kushavati.

Sri Vishwesha Tirtharu, officially known as Śrī Śrī 1008 Śrī Viśveśa-tīrtha Śrīpād Kannada: ಶ್ರೀ ಶ್ರೀ ೧೦೦೮ ಶ್ರೀ ವಿಶ್ವೇಶತೀರ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀಪಾದಂಗಳವರು, was an Indian Hindu guru, saint and presiding swamiji of the Sri Pejavara Adokshaja Matha, one of the Ashta Mathas belonging to the Dvaita school of philosophy founded by Sri Madhvacharya.
Shri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji was an Indian religious leader who was the seer of Adichunchanagiri, Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya district. He was awarded Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour for the year 2010.
Shri Gaudapadacharya Math, also known as Kavaḷē maṭha, located in Kavale, Ponda, Goa, is the oldest matha of the Smarthan Saraswat Brahman Samaj. It was founded by Gauḍapāda around 740 AD, whose student was Govinda Bhagavatpada, the guru of Adi Shankara, a highly influential figure in Hinduism. There is also a belief that Gauḍapāda himself established the Shri Gaudapadacharya matha when he lived in Gomantak (Goa). Thus, the matha came to be known as Shri Saunstan Gaudapadacharya matha. Unlike other mathas, Shri Gaudapadacharya matha is not a polemical center established to influence the faith of all Hindus, its jurisdiction is limited to only Dakshinatya Saraswat Brahmins. The Peetadhipathi "head monk" is Śrī Gauḍapadācārya. Smartist Goud Saraswat Brahman Samaj and Rajapur Saraswat Brahmin are its main disciples.
Balakudru Shrimatha is the Gurupeetha for the brahmins of South Canara District mainly Shivalli sects who follow Advaitha philosophy. The ashram is headed now by Shri Shri Narasimha Ashrama Swamiji, who also selected his successor-designate Shri Vasudeva Sadashiva Ashrama Swamiji on 22nd Nov 2024 in Bengaluru in the traditional manner, in a ceremony conducted by highly respected Vedic scholars in the presence of various other Math heads like Hariharapura and Kailash Ashrama and representatives from Moolamnaya Sarvajna Shri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.
Sri Uttaradi Math, is one of the main monasteries (matha) founded by Madhvacharya with Padmanabha Tirtha as its head to preserve and propagate Dvaita Vedanta (Tattvavada) outside Tulunadu region. Uttaradi Math is one of the three primary Dvaita monasteries or Mathatraya that descended from Madhvacharya in the lineage of Padmanabha Tirtha through Jayatirtha. After Jayatirtha and Vidyadhiraja Tirtha, Uttaradi Matha continued in the lineage of Kavindra Tirtha and later in the lineage of Vidyanidhi Tirtha. The Moola Rama and Moola Sita idols worshipped in the Uttaradi Matha have a long history and are revered among adherents.

Shri Gangadharendra Saraswati, officially Shreemajjagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Gangadharendra Saraswati Swamij, is pontiff (Guru) of Shri Sonda Swarnavalli Mutt, Sirsi, Karnataka, India. He is the 54th Guru of this mutt. He took sannyasa and ordination from Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Mahaswamiji of Kanchi Matha which is known as Kanchi kamakoti Peetham. He is a follower of Advaita Vedanta.
Nava Brindavana ;, is located on an island in the Tungabhadra River at Anegundi, near Hampi, Karnataka, India. The Brindavanas of nine Hindu Madhva saints present in Nava Brindavana belongs to Uttaradi Math, Vyasaraja Math and Raghavendra Math. All these saints are descended from Padmanabha Tirtha, direct disciple of Jagadguru Madhvacharya.
Ramachandrapura Math (monastery) is a Hindu monastery located in Hosanagara taluk of Shimoga, Karnataka. The Matha is followed mainly by the Havyaka Brahmins in Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shimoga districts of Karnataka and Kasaragod district of Kerala. It was established by Adi Shankaracharya originally near Gokarna, a holy town on the west coast of India. The matha was initially known as Raghuthama Matha. The Swami of the matha is a celibate (brahmacharya) and a Havyaka by birth. He adds the title Bharati to his name. The present guru is Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Raghaveshwara Bharathi MahaSwamiji. He was initiated sanyasa by his guru Jagadguru Shankaracharya shri Ragavendra Bharati mahaswamiji the 35th Pontiff of Shri Ramachandrapura Mutt.
