Devika Deol, a devoted follower of Ambe Maa, is set to marry Saket Kapoor, but Ravi Garewal, a middle-class man from Ambala, unexpectedly marries her to save her from Saket. Despite obstacles from Saket and Nivedita Luthra, Devika and Ravi fall in love. After being pushed off a cliff by her enemies, Devika survives and returns in disguise as Ambika Raichand to seek revenge, initially suspecting Ravi’s involvement but later discovering his innocence. Later, she exposes Nivedita and Saket’s crimes, starts a new life with Ravi, and the story ends with her pregnancy.
In 2005, little Devika, dressed as Ambe Maa, witnesses a girl named Namrata being dragged away by men for being found in a compromising situation with her boyfriend, Abhay (Parag Tyagi). Abhay’s grandmother, Savitri Deol (Neena Cheema), blames Namrata and says only girls face consequences. Shocked, little Devika questions Ambe Maa for not protecting Namrata, but when the temple roof collapses, she’s miraculously saved by the goddess’s Trishul, and on the other hand, lightning strikes to save Namrata from being hanged.
10 years later (2015), the story then moves forward to present day. Devika (Aparna Dixit) has grown into a beautiful girl. She considers Ambe Maa as her friend, family, everything. Her grandmother, Savitri Devi, controls the family, favors men. Devika wishes to continue studying, but when both Devika (because she reached late for exams) and her brother Sanjay fail their exams, Dadi stops her education while encouraging Sanjay to try again. Hurt by this bias, Devika loses hope until her Dadaji and Rekha Chachi (Sangeeta Kapure) console her, reminding her that Ambe Maa is with her. Soon, her professor calls to inform her about a re-exam due to missing answer sheets. Savitri stops Devika from taking a re-exam, but Dadaji promises to help Devika.
While trying to reach college on time, Devika gets stranded due to an auto-rickshaw strike. Her friend leaves with someone else, leaving Devika alone in the rain. Left with no option, Devika takes shelter under a shed. A guy, Ravi Garewal (Krip Suri) too joins her. After some time, Ravi removes his shirt and stands in the middle of the road to secure a ride, surprising Devika with his unexpected behavior. He gets a lift from a girl with whom he flirts and leaves. While leaving he gives Devika a kite with Maa's picture on it. Throughout the encounter, neither Ravi nor Devika sees the other’s face.
Ravi's brother Vikas, a wedding planner, is working at Savitri Devi's house for Ajay's engagement. Their mother, Manju Garewal (Alka Amin), knows Savitri Devi's influence and says she can get money from her if needed. Ravi, ambitious and charming, uses his looks to get what he wants. He helps Vikas fix lights damaged by rain with the help of the contractor, planning to use the house’s electricity without paying. Meanwhile, during her exam, Devika is falsely accused of cheating, but the examiner verifies the handwriting, finds the real culprit, and lets her continue.
MLA Saket Kapoor (Mahesh Shetty) enters the examiner's cabin and threatens him to pass the guy. Seeing Devika scolding that guy, he instructs the guy to learn more about her(Devika). Meanwhile, Vikas is stressed as Savitri Devi refuses to pay him for his work, and Devika is excited about her best friend Tanushree’s engagement to her brother Ajay.
Devika almost stumbles into Ravi while he is making out with the light contractor girl Dipa in the store room. But Ravi and Devika couldn't see each other's faces due to darkness in the store room. She doesn't like it and feels uncomfortable. Later the light contractor girl is bragging about her affair with Ravi. Ravi gets angry and fights with the girl. The girl throws a lamp due to which a short circuit happens which leads to full fledged fire.
Vikas worries about the fire’s consequences. Ravi finds and saves Devika in the mandap, and rain helps extinguish the fire. Devika’s friends mention a handsome guy saved her; she later realizes it was Ravi and calls him cheap, recalling the store room incident. Dadaji learns Devika passed her exam and tells her to collect her mark sheet. Devika accidentally gets into Ravi’s car, thinking it’s her friend’s, leading to confusion and arguments between them.
Vikas demands his money from Savitri, who refuses, angering his mother, Manju, leading to a fight between the two women. Manju consults a lawyer, but no case can be filed without proof. Meanwhile, Ravi and Devika both apply for architect positions at Rakesh Luthra’s company. Savitri forbids Devika from applying for a job, but after Rekha Chachi, disguised as Ambe Maa on Dadaji’s insistence, She warns Savitri in the night, and Savitri allows Devika to find a job. On the way to the interview, Devika and Ravi argue in a rickshaw, and Saket notices Devika afterward on the road. Saket learns the girl’s name is Devika Deol.
At the company, Ravi tricks the receptionist to access candidates’ details and sees that Devika has the highest marks. Posing as a senior manager, he tells her the job is already taken, making her feel guilty for doubting him. Later, Devika prays at a temple and returns to the office to collect missing documents. She discovers Ravi’s deception and confronts him. Meanwhile, Savitri and Manju clash in the market and get arrested.

Devika, witnessing the aftermath, misinterprets Ravi's actions and assumes he acted inappropriately. Meanwhile, Savitri proposes to Saket that he marry Devika to secure a political alliance. Saket agrees, increasing pressure on Devika and her family.
Saket takes Devika to his house where her saree catches fire and Ravi rescues her by throwing water on it. It is revealed that Ravi’s Bhabhi, Shweta, is Saket’s sister. Saket and his family oppose Devika working, while Ravi supports her career goals. Saket tries to create distrust by misleading Devika about Ravi. Devika insists on finding a job, and Saket agrees to help, but Savitri strongly opposes her working and pushes for her marriage to Saket. Devika remains unsure about trusting Ravi.
Saket threatens the director of the company where Devika applied, warning him not to hire her. Ravi realizes Devika helped him get his job and tries to cancel her marriage to Saket by arranging a job for her in his organization. Devika is excited about the opportunity, but Savitri blocks her from working, while continuing to push for her marriage to Saket.
Devika begins her job at Rakesh Luthra’s company but faces immediate obstacles when Ravi troubles her at the office. Rekha falls ill due to the tense atmosphere at home. At Rekha’s insistence, Devika agrees to lead a married life with Ravi.
The marital tension between Ravi and Devika continues. Devika remains unaware of Ravi’s genuine concern for her and instead suspects his motives, believing he is after her property. Although the two behave cordially in front of Rekha, behind closed doors they remain at loggerheads.

Later Ravi and Devika celebrate their first Karva Chauth after their wedding.

Misguided by Nivedita, an intoxicated Devika wanders in the wrong direction after the party and struggles to find her way home. Ravi, worried by Devika’s disappearance, rushes to locate her. Meanwhile, Saket tries to mislead Devika but fails. Ravi eventually finds Devika lost in a forest. He brings the drunk Devika back home safely. Devika, still under the influence, expresses her feelings to Ravi and confronts Nivedita about her motives. Nivedita is upset by Ravi’s concern for Devika. Saket remains disappointed at his failure to mislead Devika.

During this period, Devika recognises Ravi’s genuine care and commitment, leading her to realise she has fallen deeply in love with him.
Devika legally acquires her mother’s property to fulfil her mother’s dream, while Manju plots to take it over. Monty’s mother demands a dowry for his marriage to Sakshi, causing tension between the families. Ravi supports Devika, who values his integrity, though the dowry demand creates strain. Devika decides to transfer her late mother’s property into her own name, with the support of Ravi. Meanwhile, Nivedita grows increasingly desperate to win Ravi’s love. On Monty’s mother’s insistence, Devika agrees to hand over the property.
Saket helps Monty escape from the wedding venue. Ravi desperately searches for Monty and becomes upset when he can’t find him. He begins to suspect Saket’s motives. Monty’s mother blames Devika for Monty and Sakshi’s failed marriage. Ravi, upset with Monty for damaging his reputation, supports Devika in achieving her dreams. The two share their grief over the failed wedding, while Saket celebrates his success in causing trouble. Devika recognizes Ravi’s sincerity, and he promises to take care of her.
Saket manipulates events by leaving his phone in Devika’s room. He then places a call pretending to be Monty in order to create a misunderstanding between Ravi and Devika. Nivedita asks Ravi to drop her home, and Saket uses the call‑ruse to provoke Devika into doubting Ravi. The discord peaks as Devika and Ravi have a bitter fight. Devika becomes confused about Ravi’s honesty. Both later regret their fight, as tensions loom large.
Devika considers Saket a suitable match for Sakshi, but Sakshi initially rejects the marriage and later goes missing. Upon her return, she unexpectedly agrees to marry Saket. During this time, Ravi warns Devika about Saket, while Saket manipulates Monty to remain hidden.
Ravi spies on Saket at a hotel and overhears him plotting against Monty and Sakshi with a waiter, whom he follows to gather evidence. Meanwhile, Nivedita tries to win Ravi’s attention while searching for Monty. Saket frames Ravi in a false case, resulting in his arrest. Devika is shocked but upset with Ravi for not supporting Saket and Sakshi’s wedding. Nivedita confronts and slaps Saket for causing trouble and is then asked by him to convince Ravi to secure his release. Devika arranges bail for Ravi, which angers Nivedita, leading to a confrontation between them. Devika warns Nivedita not to interfere and begins suspecting that Nivedita has feelings for Ravi. Meanwhile, Ravi collects evidence against Saket by capturing a waiter involved in his schemes. After his release, Ravi thanks Devika for her help and expresses his feelings to her.
Ravi protects a captured waiter from Saket. During a confrontation, Saket accidentally injures Devika and later burns his car to hide evidence. Ravi finds Devika wounded and rushes her to the hospital, feeling relieved when she begins to recover. After her discharge, Ravi cares for her at home, and they share pleasant moments together. Later, Ravi finds Monty and scolds him for what happened to Sakshi. Monty realizes Saket fooled him, regrets his actions, and apologizes. When Monty learns that Saket is going to marry Sakshi, he decides to confront him. But when he does, Saket attacks him, injures him, and has him abducted by his goons.
An injured Monty escapes from Saket’s abductors, while Ravi works to stop Saket and Sakshi’s wedding. He convinces Sakshi to flee, and Pallavi, disguised as the bride, helps Ravi ensure Monty and Sakshi’s marriage. Saket becomes furious, and Savitri and Rekha express their anger toward Ravi, with Rekha losing faith in him.
Savitri tries to have Ravi arrested for arranging Sakshi and Monty’s marriage, but Sakshi intervenes and proves his innocence, securing his release. Angered, Saket attempts to forcibly marry Sakshi and confronts Ravi. Meanwhile, Devika, feeling betrayed, accuses Ravi of deception and ends their marriage, leaving him heartbroken. Saket vows revenge, and despite Sakshi’s efforts to reveal Ravi’s true intentions, Devika refuses to believe her. Ravi mourns their lost love, while Devika remains convinced of his betrayal and decides to stay away.
Later, a drunk Saket enters Ravi's bedroom intending to kill him while he sleeps. He renders Ravi unconscious with chloroform, expressing his hatred and jealousy, believing Ravi took Devika away from him. Devika, who had been asleep in the living room, wakes and discovers Saket attempting to murder her husband. Shocked, she confronts him and urges him to stop.
Saket confesses his past crimes, including plotting against Ravi and trapping Sakshi in a drug case as revenge for helping Ravi marry Devika. He explains that everything Ravi had warned her about was true, and that Ravi was innocent. Devika realizes that Ravi had been innocent all along and that Saket was behind the misunderstandings and conspiracies in her marriage. When Saket tries to attack Ravi again, Devika slaps him, fights back, and manages to knock the knife away. She then picks up the weapon herself and threatens to kill Saket if he hurts her husband. Shocked by her fierce defense, Saket runs away.
Afterward, Devika realizes how wrong she was to blame Ravi. She looks at unconscious Ravi and lovingly tells him that she now knows he is the best husband in the world and that he saved her life. At the same time, Nivedita is enraged with Saket after his attempt to kill Ravi is uncovered. Ravi, scarred by Devika’s rejection, retreats into his memories. Meanwhile, Monty and Sakshi plot to bring Devika and Ravi closer together. Nivedita confidently issues a challenge to Saket that she will win Ravi’s love.
Ravi focuses on organizing the Lohri celebration and greets the Deol family, while Rekha is happy to see Devika and Sakshi. During the rituals, Ravi and Devika vow to support each other. Nivedita confronts Shweta and plots to disrupt their bond. Sakshi is pleased that Devika shares Ravi’s loyalty, and Devika attempts to show her feelings for him. Nivedita sets a fire to kill Devika, but Ravi rescues her in time. The family is shaken, and the attacker’s identity is unclear. Ravi begins investigating, while Nivedita remains determined, and Saket confronts Nivedita about her misdeed.
The next day, Devika plans to confess her love to Ravi. Ravi senses Devika’s change in behaviour and hopes she will express her feelings. At the same time, Nivedita hires goons and kidnaps Devika to remove her from Ravi’s life. Ravi and Monty start looking for her and check a gift shop Devika had visited before she disappeared. Nivedita plays both sides — she appears to help Ravi, while scheming behind his back to move in on him. Devika wakes up, realises she’s in serious danger. Ravi vows he will find Devika no matter what. Devika escapes the godown, she locks the rumbling goons in a room, flees into the jungle, and struggles with no phone network.
After too much struggle, Ravi and Devika meet each other. Ravi fights Saket's goons and tries to protect Devika. The kidnappers behave cruelly with Ravi and Devika. They shift them to different locations to mislead the police. Even in tough times, Devika is happy to spend time with Ravi in the hideout and is eager to profess her love to him. Ravi fights Dildaar and the two succeed in escaping. Monty and Sakshi suspect that Nivedita might be behind the kidnapping of Ravi-Devika. Manju dismisses their suspicions in favour of trusting Nivedita.
Ravi and Devika try to escape from Dildaar and his goons by hiding in a wedding hall. Ravi dresses as a groom and Devika as a bride, joining a mass wedding. When the goons start checking the guests, they switch places with another couple to stay hidden. They then complete the wedding rituals, officially becoming husband and wife once again, this time with their own consent.
Dildaar, posing as a truck driver, traps Ravi and Devika and knocks them off a cliff. In the forest, Ravi lies unconscious, and Devika fears he has died. In desperation, she attempts to revive him by splashing water on his face and performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. After several tense moments, Ravi regains consciousness, and the two share an emotional embrace, reaffirming their deep bond.
Later, Ravi’s condition deteriorates again due to blood loss and exhaustion. Devika, panicked but resolute, decides to search for water and medical help despite the danger from the pursuing goons. Saket confronts Dildaar and his goons for attacking Devika and orders them to find her. Ravi's hand has gone numb and he is unable to move. Devika, deeply worried, consoles him and vows never to leave his side. While searching for shelter, she finds a small hut nearby and helps Ravi inside, attempting to keep him warm and nurse his wounds. Their emotional bond grows stronger as Devika’s devotion and determination become evident.
At night, Ravi lights a bonfire and opens up to Devika. She confesses her long-held love for him, admits she loves him deeply, she once tried hating him but ended up falling in love with his truth and integrity. Ravi is moved, and they share a romantic moment before returning home safely.
A few days later, Devika is disappointed by Monty’s sudden coldness towards her and wonders about the cause. Meanwhile, at a company party, Ravi is distracted by thoughts of Devika despite Nivedita’s attempts to charm him. Back home, Devika prepares a romantic setting for Ravi. When he arrives drunk, she helps him to bed, and he expresses his love, but she notices a lipstick mark on his shirt.
Manju scolds Vikas for not working, leading Saket to involve him and Monty in new plans through Nivedita. Nivedita confesses her love to Ravi, but he reaffirms his loyalty to Devika. Sakshi informs Devika about Monty and Saket’s involvement with Nivedita, worrying her about what Ravi knows. At home, Ravi avoids Devika as she notices his tension and prays for his peace.
Manju and Nivedita team up to harm Devika. During Ambe Maa’s puja, Nivedita poisons a sweet (laddoo), which Devika eats and briefly falls ill but recovers. Nivedita urges Manju to keep plotting, while Sakshi grows suspicious of their intentions.
On Ravi's insistence, Devika signs documents to help establish an orphanage with Nivedita’s company, honoring her late mother’s wish and hoping for a new beginning. Devika and Ravi plan to have their own baby and decide that they will think about it after returning from their trip with family.
The family’s trip to Vaishnodevi is cancelled after Monty learns from a travel agent that a landslide has blocked the route. While Devika is upset, Ravi and Manju accept it as God’s will. Monty suggests visiting the Ambaji temple in Gujarat instead, and the family agrees, with Saket and Nivedita (Seema Mishra) joining the plan.
The family arrives at Ambaji in Gujarat and visits a temple. At the Mandir, the family prays to Ambe Maa. Devika prays for their would-be baby with qualities of both herself and Ravi, while Ravi prays for her wishes to be fulfilled.
