Kan-Achuu Nature Park is in Toguz-Toro District of Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan established in September 2015. [1] The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique nature complexes and biodiversity, conservation of rare and endangered flora and fauna species, and extending network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. It currently covers 30,496.5 hectares. [2] The park is situated in the eastern spurs of the Fergana Range, in the basin of the rivers Baydamtal, Kan-Achuu and Kökirim. [3]

Besh-Aral Nature Reserve

Besh-Tash Nature Park

Besh-Tash Nature Park is a nature park in Talas Region, Kyrgyzstan. It is located 13 km from the city of Talas. It was established in 1996. It currently covers 13,731.5 hectares, including 5,895 hectares of strictly protected area and 334.5 hectares for regulated recreational use.

Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve

The Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve is located in Aksy District, Jalal-Abad Region in western Kyrgyzstan. Established in 1959, it currently covers 23,868 hectares. In 1978 it was designated as a World Biosphere reserve by UNESCO. The Reserve is located at altitudes from 1,200–4,247 metres (3,937–13,934 ft) above sea level. The name of Sary Chelek translates as "Yellow bucket" from Kyrgyz language.

Surmatash Nature Reserve

The Surmatash Nature Reserve is located in Kadamjay District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan. Established in 2009, it currently covers 661.94 km2 (255.58 sq mi). Its purpose is conservation of unique nature complexes and biological diversity, protection of rare and threatened species of flora and fauna, and extending network of specially protected nature areas.

Dashman Nature Reserve

The Dashman Nature Reserve is located in Bazar-Korgon District of Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan. It was established in 1975 as a forest reserve with a purpose of conservation of natural forests composed of walnut trees, apple trees, alycha and other species. It was converted to a stricter nature reserve in 2012. The nature reserve occupies 7,958 hectares. It lies within the Arstanbap rural community.

The Protected areas of Kyrgyzstan are regulated by the law on specially protected natural areas of 2 May 2011, last modified on 2 June 2018. In total, they cover 14,761.216 km2 (5,699.337 sq mi) and account for 7.38% of the country's total area. The first protected area in Kyrgyzstan (Issyk-Kul) was established in 1948. According to the Government Decree on Priorities of Conservation of Biological Diversity and the relevant Action Plan for 2014-2024 the target area for the protected areas in Kyrgyzstan is 10 percent of the country’s area by 2024.

Karatal-Japyryk Nature Reserve

The Karatal-Japyryk Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan. Established in 1994, it currently covers 36,393 hectares. It was established with a purpose of conservation of unique nature complexes, protection of rare and threatened species of flora and fauna of Central Tien-Shan, and maintain regional environmental balance.

Sarychat-Eertash Nature Reserve

The Sarychat-Eertash Nature Reserve is located in Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan. Established in 1995, it currently covers 149,118 hectares. It was established with a purpose of conservation of unique nature complexes, rare and threatened species of flora and fauna of syrt area of Issyk-Kul Region, and maintaining regional environmental balance.

Kara-Shoro Nature Park

Kara-Shoro Nature Park is a national park in Kyrgyzstan established in August 1996. The purpose of the park is conservation of the nature complex including geological formations, hydrological regimes, flora and fauna, and endangered species. It covers 14,440 hectares. Kara-Shoro River passes through the central part of the park.

The Mountain Aygul-Tash Botanical Reserve is located in Batken District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan. It was established in 2009 with a purpose of conservation of unique nature complexes and biodiversity of Kyrgyzstan.

Salkyn-Tör Nature Park Park in Naryn, Kyrgyzstan

Salkyn-Tör Nature Park is a national park in Naryn District of Naryn Region of Kyrgyzstan established in May 2001. It is located 20 km to the east of Naryn. The purpose of the park is general environmental improvement of the country and conservation of the unique natural places, including rocky gorges and the Kojo-Üngkür cave. The area of the park is 10,419 hectares.

Alatay Nature Park

Alatay Nature Park is a park in Toktogul District of Jalal-Abad Region of Kyrgyzstan established in January 2016. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique natural complexes and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered flora and fauna, and extension of network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The area of the park is 56,826.4 hectares.

Sarkent Nature Park

Sarkent State Nature Park is a national park in Leylek District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan established in June 2009. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique natural complexes and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered flora and fauna, and extension of network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The area of the park is 39,999 hectares. The park is located in the Turkestan Range, 42 km from the district center Isfana and in 177 km from the regional center Batken.

Kara-Buura Nature Park

Kara-Buura Nature Park is a national park in Kara-Buura District of Talas Region of Kyrgyzstan established in June 2005. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique mid-mountain savannoids, alpine and sub-alpine meadows, biodiversity of Western Tien-Shan, protection of rare and endangered flora and fauna, and extension of network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The area of the park is 61,544 hectares. The park is situated on the northern slopes of the Talas Alatoo range, on the border with Kazakhstan, 50 km from Kök-Say and 120 km from the regional center Talas.

Chong-Kemin Nature Park

Chong-Kemin Nature Park is a park in Kemin District of Chuy Region of Kyrgyzstan established in August 1997. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique nature complexes in Chong-Kemin Valley of the Kemin District and organization of recreation for local and foreign tourists. The area of the park is 123,564 hectares. The park is located in 30 km from the regional center Kemin and in 135 km from Bishkek.

Karakol Nature Park

Karakol Nature Park is a national park in Ak-Suu District of Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan established in April 1997. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique nature complexes, forests, and flora and fauna of special ecological and aesthetic value for beneficial combination of natural and cultural landscapes and their use for recreational, cultural and educational purposes. It covers 38,095 ha. The park is located 6 km from the regional center Karakol and 336 km from Bishkek.

Kyrgyz-Ata Nature Park

Kyrgyz-Ata Nature Park is a national park in Nookat District of Osh Region of Kyrgyzstan, established in March 1992. It covers 11,172 hectares. The purpose of the park is conservation of the valuable unique nature complex of juniper forests of special ecological, aesthetic, geobotanical and faunal value and using it for recreation. It is located 40 km from Osh.

Khan-Tengiri Nature Park

Khan-Tengiri Nature Park is a national park in Ak-Suu District of Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan established in February 2016. It covers 2,758.003 km2 (1,064.871 sq mi). The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique nature complex and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered species of flora and fauna, and extension of the network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The park is located in the easternmost part of Kyrgyzstan between mountain ranges Terskey Ala-Too and Kakshaal Too. The nature park is largely within Saryjaz river basin.
