Kani Khalilan (Persian : كاني خليلان‎, also Romanized as Kānī Khlīlān; also known as Kānī Khalīl)^[1] is a village in Lahijan-e Sharqi Rural District, Lajan District, Piranshahr County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Lahijan-e Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Lajan District, Piranshahr County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 14,537, in 2,443 families. The rural district has 46 villages.

Lajan District is a district (bakhsh) in Piranshahr County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 22,757, in 3,960 families. The district has one city, Gerd Kashaneh, and two rural districts (dehestan), Lahijan-e Gharbi Rural District and Lahijan-e Sharqi Rural District.
