Kantan (Persian : كنتان‎, also Romanized as Kantān)^[1] is a village in Zarabad-e Sharqi Rural District, Zarabad District, Konarak County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Zarabad-e Sharqi Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in Zarabad District, Konarak County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 6,495, in 1,362 families. The rural district has 31 villages.

Zarabad District is a district (bakhsh) in Konarak County, Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 15,492, in 3,360 families. The District has no cities. The District has two rural districts (dehestan): Zarabad-e Gharbi Rural District and Zarabad-e Sharqi Rural District.
