Lacrosse in Australia is a minor sport,with a long and proud history dating back to 1876,with a small but dedicated community of participants and volunteers. Charles William Puckett was an Australian sportsman who excelled at both baseball and cricket. Born in Surrey,England,Puckett emigrated with his family to Adelaide,South Australia,and took up playing both sports early in life. Playing baseball as both a catcher and a pitcher,he represented South Australia in the Claxton Shield on several occasions,and was also the winner of the inaugural Capps Medal as the best player in the South Australian Baseball League. He moved to Victoria in 1937,playing a season for the Essendon Baseball Club and also playing state baseball for Victoria,before moving to Western Australia the following year to work in the publishing house of The West Australian. Considered one of the best all-round baseballers in Australia,Puckett subsequently represented Western Australia in Claxton Shield competition,having won the award for best player on three consecutive occasions,spanning the 1936,1937,and 1938 tournaments.
Thomas Henry Cullinan was an Australian cricketer. Little is known of his early life,other than that he was a native of South Australia,and had been resident in Unley before emigrating to Fremantle,Western Australia. Playing at grade cricket level for the Fremantle District Cricket Club,Cullinan was selected in the state team's squad for their inaugural tour of the eastern colonies,at the 1892–93 season,with William Back and Bill Bateman the other Fremantle players selected in the squad. He had originally been an emergency for the tour,but made the team after other players were unable to gain time off work. Cullinan's one first-class match on the tour was played against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval in late March 1893,and he recorded scores of eight runs in the first innings and one run in the second innings. Cullinan also participated in several minor matches on tour,including against the Melbourne Cricket Club and a Victorian "juniors" team. He died in Fremantle in July 1907.
Frank Devenish Meares,also Frank Devenish-Meares (hyphenated),was an Australian sportsman who played both cricket and Australian rules football at high levels.

Arthur Christian was an Australian cricketer. He was an allrounder who batted left-handed and bowled left armed slow-medium,able to have the ball break both ways. He was a prominent club cricketer in Victoria,also representing the state in first-class cricket,and later moved to Western Australia where he also played both club and state cricket and became the leading all-rounder in the state. After retiring he coached at public schools,served on the W.A.C.A. executive and as a W.A. selector,and wrote for a newspaper.
