Katie Power (born 20 November 1991) is an All-Ireland- and All Star-winning camogie player who plays for Piltown and Kilkenny.
The daughter of former Piltown hurler Jim, and former Piltown camogie player Martina (née Brennan), and sister to Martin and Jamie, Power played camogie from a very young age. First tutored by her father, and later by Maura Brennan and Jim Malone, she honed her skills with constant practice and a fierce determination to win.[ citation needed ]
Katie also participated in athletics, soccer, basketball and Gaelic football as a child but her love for hurling persuaded her to focus on camogie in recent years.[ tone ][ when? ]
Power earned her first Leinster medal with Kilkenny at U14 in 2003.[ citation needed ]
Katie made her debut on the Kilkenny Senior team in 2006 and currently[ when? ] fills the position of centre forward.
In July 2017, Katie's brother Martin won an All-Ireland medal playing in the full forward position on the Kilkenny Intermediate Hurling team. [1]

Edward Joseph Brennan is an Irish hurling manager and former player. His league and championship career with the Kilkenny senior team lasted twelve seasons from 2000 until 2011. Brennan was the manager of the Laois senior hurling team from 2019 to 2020.
Ballinhassig is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Ballinhassig in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club was founded in 1886, and now plays Hurling at Premier Intermediate level, having won the Cork Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship in 2005, and the Cork Junior Hurling Championship in 2002.
Stemming from these County Championship wins, Ballinhassig competed in Munster and All-Ireland Club Championships, and have won the following Club Championship Finals: Junior Munster Club Final, Junior All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship Final, Intermediate Munster Club Final; but lost out to Dicksboro, of Kilkenny town, in the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship Final, played in Croke Park. Cathriona Foley is a Lecturer in University College Cork and camogie player and winner of All Ireland medals in 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009. She won All Star awards in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Cathriona captained Cork to the All-Ireland Senior title in 2008 and is also the holder of an All-Ireland Minor medal as well as provincial honours at Minor, Junior, Intermediate and Senior. Holds a Junior 'B', Junior 'A' and Senior 'B' county championship medal with her club and won a Senior 'A' championship title while captaining divisional side Muskerry in 2007. Her father, Dan Joe, won a minor hurling All-Ireland with Cork. Cathriona is the holder of All Star awards and has lined out with UCC in the Ashbourne Cup. Sisters Mairéad and Colleen and brother Daniel wore the Cork colours at under-age level.
Rena Buckley is an Irish sportswoman who played at senior level for both the Cork county ladies' football team and the Cork county camogie team. She has also represented Munster in the Gael Linn Cup and Ireland at international rules. Between 2005 and 2017 she won 18 All-Ireland winners medals, making her one of the most decorated sportspeople in Gaelic games. In 2012 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Ladies' Football Championship and in 2017 she captained Cork when they won the All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship. She was the first player to captain Cork to both All-Ireland senior championships. She was also named as an All Star on eleven occasions. In 2015 Buckley and her team mate and fellow dual player, Briege Corkery, were named joint winners of the 2015 The Irish Times/ Sport Ireland Sportswoman of the Year Award.
The All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship is a competition in the women's field sport of camogie for second-tier county teams and for second-string teams of first-tier counties. If the winning team comes from a second-tier county, that county is promoted to the following year's senior championship. Similarly, the winner of the All-Ireland junior championship is promoted to the following year's Intermediate Championship. The grade mirrors Division 2 of the National Camogie League. The final is played in Croke Park Dublin alongside the Senior and Junior finals. The 2021 competition was contested by Antrim, Carlow, Derry, Laois, Kerry, Kildare, Meath and the second teams of Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny and Tipperary.
The All-Ireland Minor Camogie Championship is a competition for under-18 teams in the women's field sport of camogie. Counties compete for the Síghle Nic an Ultaigh Cup. There are graded competitions at Minor B and Minor C level.
Kate Kelly is a camogie player, winner of nine All-Star awards in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. In 2007, she helped Wexford win their first All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship in 32 years. and further All Ireland medals in 2010, 2011 and 2012 when she was player of the match in the All Ireland final.
Piltown GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Piltown, County Kilkenny, Ireland. A Piltown GAA club was founded in 1887. Several versions existed until the modern club founded in 1953 following the advent of Parish Rule in Kilkenny. Piltown fields teams in Hurling, Gaelic Football, Camogie and Ladies' Gaelic Football at all ages from Under-8 to adult in each code.
St Martin's GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Murrintown in the Parish of Piercestown, County Wexford, Ireland. The club was founded in 1932 and fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. The women's arm of the club fields teams in both camogie and ladies' Gaelic football.
Karen Duggan is an Irish footballer who plays for Peamount United of the Women's National League (WNL). She has previously played for UCD Waves and the Republic of Ireland women's national football team. Between 2013 and 2016 Duggan was selected for the WNL Team of the Season for four successive seasons. She was the only player selected all four seasons. In 2015–16 she was also WNL Senior Player of the Season. Duggan has also played camogie at club, university and county level.
