Kaushik Naginda Amalean (born 7 April 1965) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played in two Test matches and eight One Day Internationals from 1986 to 1988. He was born at Colombo in 1965. [1]

Koushik Sen is an Indian actor in film, television and theatre, based in Kolkata. He is the director of the theatre group Swapnasandhani. He won a Bengal Film Journalists' Association Award for best supporting actor for his performance in the Mrinal Sen directed film Aamar Bhuvan. He was awarded Girish Purashkar 2023 by the Cultural Department of the Government of West Bengal for his extraordinary contributions to theatre. The Nandwaks/Nanwag Rajputs are a branch of the Chandravanshi Kaushik Rajput in what is now the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. In the 16th century, founder of nanwag dynasty shree Naun Rao ji and his descendants seized mariahun tahasil and ruled there for many years after. The villages of Kathiraon, Newarhia lying at 25" 31' N longitude and 82" 80' E latitude and Barsathi, latitude 25" 34' N and longitude 82" 91' E in Mariahu tehsil, were administered by the Nanwag Rajputs from the 16th century to the later part of the 19th century. The whole of Mariahu tehsil was administered by them during the medieval period and the tehsil got its name from Mandav Dev, the presiding deity of Nanwags. currently they are spread in Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Mirzapur and Varanasi district. In census report of 1865,population of Nanwag rajput was approximate 24,000.

Subedar Manish Kaushik is an Indian boxer who completes in the lightweight division. He is employed with Indian Army as a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO). Kaushik won the gold medal at the Doha International Boxing Tournament, in his first international appearance. Two years later, Manish won gold at the 2017 National Boxing Games. Manish Kaushik later went to represent India in 2018 Commonwealth Games, winning the silver medal. He represented India in the lightweight division in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Manish hails from the village of Devsar in the Bhiwani district of Haryana. Manish Kaushik won abronze in the 63 kg category at World Championships.
