Keala Keanaaina (born May 30, 1976) is an American former professional football fullback who played two seasons with the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League. He first enrolled at San Jose State University before transferring to the College of San Mateo and lastly the University of California, Berkeley.

Early life

Keanaaina played high school football at Junípero Serra High School in San Mateo, California. He earned WCAL Defensive Player of the Year and first team San Mateo County honors as a 6-1, 200-pound linebacker. [1]

College career

Keanaaina first played college football for the San Jose State Spartans. He played in ten of eleven games at linebacker and on special teams his freshman year in 1993. He then spent a year and a half preparing for his Mormon mission. [1]

Keanaaina later transitioned to fullback for the San Mateo Bulldogs, recording over 1,000 rushing yards and fourteen rushing touchdowns on the season. He had previously served a two-year Mormon mission from 1996-97. [1]

Keanaaina played for the California Golden Bears from 1999 to 2000. [1]

Professional career

Keanaaina was signed to the San Jose SaberCats' practice squad on June 13, 2001. He was placed on injured reserve on April 15, 2002. [2] He rushed for 250 yards and ten touchdowns in 2003, earning First Team All-Arena honors. [3] [4] Keanaaina rushed for 65 yards and five touchdowns in 2004. [3]

Keanaaina signed with the Cleveland Browns on July 22, 2003. He was released by the Browns on August 4, 2003. [5]

Grieb is the second quarterback in AFL history to throw for over 47,000 yards, over 900 touchdowns, over 3,800 completions, and over 10,000 pass attempts. He officially retired on November 8, 2012. He played college football at University of California, Davis. Grieb passed for 48,080 yards between the Arena League, XFL and NFL Europe.

Matthew Mark Kinsinger is a former Arena Football League fullback/linebacker for the Chicago Rush, Las Vegas Gladiators and San Jose SaberCats. He appeared in ArenaBowl XXI.

Robert James McMillen, Jr. is a former arena football fullback/linebacker and head coach. He was most recently the head coach of the Los Angeles Kiss of the Arena Football League (AFL). He played his college football at Illinois-Benedictine, and was an AFL fullback/linebacker from 1995 to 2007. He began coaching the sport in 2010, first serving as an assistant for the Chicago Slaughter in 2010, as an assistant with the Rush in 2011, before being named head coach of the Rush in 2011. In 2013, McMillen was elected into the Arena Football Hall of Fame.

James Edward Roe II is an American former professional football wide receiver and coach. He served as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Brigade of the Arena Football League (AFL) from 2017 to 2019. He played for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League (NFL) from 1996 to 1998.

Ivy Lammar Calvin is an American former professional football fullback and linebacker who played for the San Jose SaberCats of the Arena Football League in 1995. He is perhaps best known for being on the main cast of A&E's Storage Wars since 2012.
