Barrie is a city in Ontario, Canada. It is located on the shores of Kempenfelt Bay, the western arm of Lake Simcoe. It is a politically independent single-tier municipality within Simcoe County. Barrie is part of the extended urban area in southern Ontario known as the Greater Golden Horseshoe. As of the 2016 census, the city's population was 141,434, while the census metropolitan area centred on the city had a population of 197,059 residents.

Tsawwassen is a suburban, mostly residential community located on a peninsula in the southwestern corner of the City of Delta in British Columbia, Canada. Tsawwassen provides the only road access to the American territory on the southern tip of the peninsula, the community of Point Roberts, Washington, via 56th Street. It is also the location of Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, part of the BC Ferries, built in 1959 to provide foot-passenger and motor vehicle access from the Lower Mainland to the southern part of Vancouver Island and the southern Gulf Islands. Because Tsawwassen touches a shallow bank, the ferry terminal is built at the southwestern end of a 3 km (1.9 mi) long causeway that juts out into the Strait of Georgia. The ferry dock and causeway are part of Highway 17. Boundary Bay Airport, a major training hub for local and international pilots which also provides local airplane and helicopter service, is located ten minutes away. The Roberts Bank Superport is also located near Tsawwassen.
The Bite of Seattle is an annual food festival in Seattle, Washington, United States. It takes place at the Seattle Center, and goes by the official name of the Albert Lee Appliance Bite of Seattle. Locally, however, the festival is known as "The Bite". It is held on one weekend during the month of July, and is considered to be one of Seattle's largest food and beverage events with over 200 participating vendors. Admittance is free.
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is a 422-acre (1.71 km2) amusement park located in James City County, Virginia, United States. Located about sixty miles (100 km) northwest of Virginia Beach, the park was developed by Anheuser-Busch (A-B) and is owned by SeaWorld Entertainment. It opened on May 16, 1975, adjacent to Anheuser-Busch's brewery and near its other developments including the Kingsmill Resort complex.

It is known for its ice fishing and legends of Kempenfelt Kelly, a Loch Ness monster style prehistoric creature. Kempenfelt Bay is home each year to Kempenfest, an outdoor arts and crafts festival.
Hot Dog Days are informal events that are celebrated in communities throughout the hotdog-eating world, including the United States, Canada and Australia. Their origin is obscure. As the name suggests, the festivals revolve around eating hot dogs, but usually there are many other activities such as wiener dog races, root beer chugging contests, and face painting. Often the proceeds from a hot dog day are given to charity. Industry groups, such as National Hot Dog and Sausage Council in the USA, encourage, sponsor, and support the events. The Council designates July as National Hot Dog Month; National Hot Dog Day falls on the 3rd Wiener Wednesday of July, which in 2021 is on Wednesday, July 21 – historically based on when the North American Meat Institute hosts its annual Hot Dog Lunch on Capitol Hill. The council also gives advice on hot-dog eating etiquette, which aren't considered strict, as most Hot Dog Day style events do not adhere to them.

Today, Toronto's Festival of Beer features more than 400 brands from around the world and many Ontario craft brewers. The event has become Canada’s largest beer festival with 40,000 people attending every year.

Issaquah Salmon Days is a festival held in Issaquah, Washington, United States, held from 10am to 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday of the first full weekend of October. It is initiated by a parade, celebrating the return of the salmon to their birth-waters, that embraces Issaquah's history, culture, and ethnic diversity. The festival showcases over 300 arts and crafts artisans, attracting many Northwest artists. The art sold offers unique gifts and treasures and includes wood, glass, jewelry, paintings, pottery, and metal. There are five stages for live entertainment, with 40 plus musical bands including cover bands, a kids' stage, and a Bluegrass stage. Sporting events include 5K/10K runs, a Sporting Weekend which is held the weekend prior to the festival and includes geoteaming, a treasure hunt around Issaquah using GPS. Veterans' Memorial Park is used as the "Field of Fun" offering entertainment for children. The Kiwanis salmon barbecue at the festival is a crowd favorite. The 2010 register revealed over 180,000 people attended the event.
The Half Moon Bay Art and Pumpkin Festival is an annual festival held in the coastside community of Half Moon Bay, California for one weekend during pumpkin harvest season. It is one of the oldest and largest local festivals in California. Proceeds go to local civic causes and to the beautification of the downtown area of Half Moon Bay. There is no admission charge for the event.

The Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival & Highland Games is a Celtic cultural festival held at the Niagara County Fairgrounds in Niagara County, New York. It is run by the not-for-profit Niagara Celtic Heritage Society. The festival takes place during the third weekend of September, and attracts about 13,000 visitors in two days to Krull Park. Activities include Celtic music, genealogy, food and drink, dance, cultural exhibits, games, sports, arts and crafts, and children's activities. The main performances play at four stages located throughout the grounds, including The Fireside, The Dragonfly and the Celtic Arts Theatre. The society also hosts a Celtic College, with various lectures and classes during the event.
