Keshabpur is an upazila town in Jashore District. It is the headquarters of Keshabpur Upazila. It lies on the bank of Harihar and Burivodra River. The town is under justification of Keshabpur thana. It located 32 km south of Jessore, and about 42 km south west of Khulna. It is one of major town in Jashore district. [1] [2] [3] [4]

The Bandhan Express train is an international express rail service which runs between the Indian city Kolkata and the Bangladeshi city Khulna every week. It is the second modern day, fully air conditioned passenger train link between the Indian state West Bengal and Bangladesh. The Bengali word Bandhan means bonding when translated to English. It was initially referred to as the Maitree Express II. A valid visa and passport is required before purchasing a ticket for the Bandhan Express train. Tickets are available at Khulna railway station in Bangladesh and at Chitpur Station in Kolkata, India. The train service is currently paused indefinitely due to political upheaval in Bangladesh since July-August 2024.

Jashore Government City College is a post graduate educational institution located in Manihar area of Jashore District town in Khulna division of southern Bangladesh. At the time of its establishment, it was known as Jessore City College, which has been known as Jessore Government City College since 1986. At present, the college offers various subjects in higher secondary, undergraduate, honors, and postgraduate classes. At present, there are about 6,000 students here.
