Khairul Khalil bin Ja'afari (born 28 February 1975) is the eldest son and second child of Pengiran Syed Haji Ja'afari bin Pengiran Syed Haji Mashor and Hajah Dayang Sarabanun bini Haji Abdi Manaf. [1] The eldest child in the family is a daughter and Pengiran Khairul Khalil also has two younger siblings: a brother and sister.

Pengiran Khairul Khalil holds a BTEC Higher National Diploma in Building Studies from the University of Teesside, United Kingdom. He is currently the Assistant Executive Officer at the Prime Minister's Office. His hobbies are graphic designing, multimedia and video production, interior designing, and association football.

On 10 June 2007, Pengiran Anak Khairul Khalil married Princess Majeedah Bolkiah. [2] The title Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak, which was granted to Pengiran Khairul Khalil on 11 June 2007, [3] [4] the former husband of Princess Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah, has been removed with immediate force, Pengiran Alauddin, Grand Chamberlain, announced on 7 December 2023, at the order of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. [5]

The Kianggeh Dagang Muslim Cemetery, also known as the Residency Muslim Cemetery, is a Muslim burial ground located at Kianggeh in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei Darussalam. The cemetery was formerly a Royal burial ground which known as Bukit Tinggi Royal Mausoleum which served as resting place for past Sultans of Brunei. The first Sultan of Brunei buried here was Sultan Saiful Rijal, the 7th Sultan of Brunei who died in 1581.
