Khani Yek (Persian : خاني يك‎, also Romanized as Khānī Yek and Khānīyak; also known as Khāmīk, Khamyak, Khāneh Yak, and Khānīk)^[1] is a village in Nujin Rural District, in the Central District of Farashband County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 764, in 161 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Nowjein town is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Farashband County, Fars Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 6,839, in 1,526 families; excluding Nowjein, the population was 3,843, in 754 families. The rural district has 11 villages.
